Guest the_didge Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Well I upgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.3 and I'm having 2 major bugs. My sim card is not working and I have no service. Secondly the capacitive buttons just blink. I am on an unlocked beta streak and I've never had to upgrade the baseband before. Should I do that now? Or any other fixes? you will have to flash the new baseband for your sim to be recognised.
Guest thehodapp Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Ok thanks! so now that I am on 1.3 do I need to downgrade before updating baseband or is there something else I need to do?
Guest JaysFreaky Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Just so you all know, the Calendar issue isn't just limited to our phones. They've been down since yesterday apparently.
Guest bhull521 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Mine is working 100% so far, I am happy as a ping in the poop, despite the fact that I don't know how a pig can be happy in such conditions and I did work with pigs before  So why don't you tell us a little more!!! like how you upgraded itand from which version, etc etc
Guest rockymtnbri Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 So why don't you tell us a little more!!! like how you upgraded itand from which version, etc etc Read page 1 of this thread.
Guest bhull521 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Read page 1 of this thread. I know how to do it from page 1 of the thread. I just want to know how he did it with no FC's
Guest RedSlug Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Looking for some help! I had 1.3 working fine, and then I tried to re-install some select apps using Titanium Backup. Now the Streak is frozen at the Dell logo. I have tried several factory resets, but it continues to freeze. I have also tried a re-install of the 1.3 update.zip but it still hangs at the Dell logo. Any suggestions? -P@ Install 1.1.1 and then 1.3.0 again.
Guest mdmglobal Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 got an issue too with 1.3.0 Same like others with brightless and when i'm trying to customize any ringtone like SMS alert, phone call alert etc unable to custom the ringtone... No sound and force close. Same issues here.
Guest justxroro Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 i like the build so far... stage seems a little slower than adw (possibly since its a beta). i do have trouble with StreakLED. anyone get it to work? mine installs correctly, but doesnt light up when receiving sms (although the screen flickers on/off once) all in all, great work steve... i appreciate it!!!
Guest rockymtnbri Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I know how to do it from page 1 of the thread. I just want to know how he did it with no FC's You may have to ask him how much testing he's done. He'll probably get the brightness FC (I have), along with some of the others reported for v 1.3. Didn't mean to sound smart with my response.
Guest adzman808 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) (Adilson @ Nov 16 2010, 11:14) Mine is working 100% so far, I am happy as a ping in the poop, despite the fact that I don't know how a pig can be happy in such conditions and I did work with pigs before so just to clarify you have no FC with brightness? you have no FC exiting the browser? Your camera works fine? you can record 720p video? wifi tethering works? usb tethering works? the music player doesn't crash when you press pause? call waiting works? your calendar app displays the correct data away from agenda mode? media output always works (you don't have to plug in & remove headphones to get external sound) you can use the youtube app & screen rotation still works afterwards? some of these issues where present in 1.2, some have been flagged up in 1.3 but -as you say- you have no issues, so i'm curious to find out if you've checked all the known issues mentioned accross the thread? Thanks in advance [edit: quoted wrong person !!!] Edited November 16, 2010 by adzman808

Guest vinokirk Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 anyone else having trouble reciving picture messages?
Guest stalkachu Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 So, with all these problems at the moment for 1.2/1.3, and (apparently) 1.1.1 relatively bug free, would you recommend that RebelSIM users update to 1.1.1? Would that cause too many problems, and is there any really limited functions at 1.1.1 that would cause irritation? Thanks a lot guys, sorry for asking the noob questions. Take care, Oli
Guest Cue_32 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I uninstalled StreakLED and Quickboot and re-ran the Universal Androot. After root access granted I reinstalled StreakLED and Quickboot, now they work fine. I suggest if you have an app that's not working since 1.3 you try the same thing. Just a heads up to you all in case you dont bother with reading that thread, the THEME For Froyo is NOT WORKING and CAUSES BOOTLOOP on 1.3. Works fine on 1.2 though. Thank G O D I read that first before running it.
Guest coronet Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 anyone else having trouble reciving picture messages? I had an issue in the last build where picture messages would not receive until I or the other person sent another message. Try that and see if that mends it.
Guest Neugene Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Thanks again for the hard work Steve. I'm having a problem that I have not seen anyone post about so far. When I put the Streak into my dock and the Dock screen comes up there is no way to turn off the speaker that I can find. I checked under the settings that are available from this screen but the "Audio" settings for the attached dock is grayed out. Is anyone aware of a way to fix this? Thanks, Chris
Guest parks387 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Just a quick tip.. if you lose external sound randomly you don't have to plug in headset to fix. You can switch over to dell music stage and play a song and just pause it and your external sound will be back up.

Take care, Oli from one noob to another, in a word = no. i've tried every release (except 1.3) & without going into l-o-n-g detail & just making me sound like i'm ungrateful to Steve, the first version is the best if understand correctly, by staying on 1.1.1 you wont have call waiting or wifi tethering or 720p recording but if you can live without these things (barnicle app fixes wifi tethering btw) then i personally found v1.0 to be the least buggy but call waiting might be a must have for you, i think also our collective results (which have to be measured against the fact there's no UAT for this*) are sufficently variable to suggest a "suck it & see"** approach to trying each release cheers *i swear some ppl wait for a new rom to boot past the dell logo then post on here that everything works, then come back a day later asking about tethering or some other much discussed known issue  **if the pospect of losing all data/settings/apps makes you unhappy about flashing your phone a few times a week then IMHO i'd wait a month or so, let the official 2.2 hit home, then see what the developers do with it, see what bugs come out of (& go into!) the new release, then select a rom (either official or unofficial) that best suits you.
