any chance of getting this rom as a clean install? if i want to factory reset, i need to install stock 2.1, then 1.3?

Is it possible I have corrupted my flash ROM and/or my SD card?

I can get 1.2 and 1.3 loaded and running fine but after 24 - 48 hours, it starts getting flakey and bombing FCs where upon reboot it never comes back. I can re-flash 1.1.1 again and proceed with the upgrade, but its only a matter of time before this reoccurs. I have had to flash my Streak over 9 times since the 1.2 update.

Out of frustration, I finally bit the bullet and stayed at 1.1.1, which was stable the whole time I ran it (from the day it was released to the day 1.2 came out). But then after about a day, it too suffered the same fate.

Now today, I have moved back to 2.1 build 8105, which is a MAJOR step backwards as far as I am concerned. I just rebooted it and now it is hanging at the O2 screen. EDIT: It came back, but was factory reset AGAIN!

Are there any diagnostics I can do to determine what the heck is happening here? Is it best to go ALL the way back to 1.6? I am at a total loss here and I am really nearing the end of my rope. Any help would be appreciated.

Ed which launcher are you using ?? I had a similar problem and uninstalled the updates for launcher pro and went down to 3 home screens and then reinstalled the updates for it and it been brilliant since then B) If you are using a different launcher I wonder if it might work as well ?? and I have stuck on 1.2 as it is just great but still tempted by the 1.3 update.. :) and would also like to say thanx to DJ steve :)

I am using ADW. I am using the default number, but I don't actually fill them up (I only use 3). I can give that a try.

Looping during Boot

I still can not upgrade to v1.3 and it keeps on looping on boot. Dell colored logo appeared several times.

( it's the same thing as v1.2 on my case )

This is my streak current config :

Baseband : GAUSB1A130500-EU

Android version : 2.2

Kernel Version : 2.6.32.9-perf

Build : 8558

Clockwork 2.5.0.1 already at place.

Steps I took :

1. flash amss

2. upgrade using clockwork ( of course reset factory, clear cache, wipe partition already done )

Anyone can suggest anything ?

Flash 2.1 amss, flash 1.1.1, boot, reboot to clockwork, wipe everything, flash 2.2 amss, flash 1.3.

That's what worked for me.

When ever i would get the looping dell logo, meaning the colors would come on, i would would remove battery put it back in, then go to recovery (press and hold both camera buttons while powering on) then chose option 1 : factory reset, then the streak would reboot on its own, dell logo came up, colors came up, then waited for the tiny vibration after the colors,

then it worked..

hope this helps..

Flash 2.1 amss, flash 1.1.1, boot, reboot to clockwork, wipe everything, flash 2.2 amss, flash 1.3.

Thank you.

Flashed amss to 2.1, flashed to 1.1.1, boot -> OK worked fine

Reboot to clockwork, wipe, flash amss to 2.2, upgrade 1.3 -> stuck after colored logo.

Tried factory reset, wipe still stuck after colored logo

Missed any steps ?

I had taken the same steps: stuck in the Dell logo.

Finally, I did after flash of the new base-band and the 1.3 no resets or wipes. And now it works (with all known issues ;-))

if you have adb logcat output should show wehere its dying, but to be certain you are factory reseting on 1.1.1 not after flashing 1.3?

To make certain, I repeat the step above and yes I didnt reset after flashing 1.3.

I attached the log, it seems to be repeating at some points.

that feset hasn worked thats why, you have to flash 1.1.1 then boot it once then factory rese t FROM THE FIRST SCREEN (the one with 4 options) then boot again before flashing - factory reset in clockwork does not work on streak

ok ive got hold of the offical 2.2 update thats being rolled out to, wil be investigating pulling some things off it also later

Thanks Again Stephen Working again... BTW this is nice!! again you keep improving this Rom with every update. I dont think I'm going to upgrade to the official 2.2 when I will simply root- and recustomize it this is good stuff.

Thanks
