Forget it, over clocking freezes my device no matter that I set it on, strange

How do you overclock 1.4 ??

1: Make sure device is rooted. Best thing to do is Unroot then reroot using universal androot. This may take 2 or 3 attempts in each direction.

2: Install Setpu from market or is available on XDA developers site.

3: Should be fairly obvious from there, simply adjust upper limit for cpu frequency.

4: ?!!?

Dont use auto boot function ,cus once you reboot the device freezes,

OC to 1190 but it sucks battery hella fast B)

Any reason why? Or is it just me? But the lcd_density setting doesnt take, even thougb its set to 160. After reboot its 140. Still set to 160. Any solution???

Can somebody please explain in details how to move from Dell official 2.2 Froyo to Steve's 1.4.1. Thanks in advance.

Flash the baseband with the assm file profided by Steve and copy the Update zip file. Then start in recovery mode and update the zip. Do not reset factory settings, as it created problems. Just reboot and you will have 1.4.1 running just fine...

Great Job Steve, the sound and brightness is fixed but a slight issue remain, i can't select phone or notification ringtone once i did that the phone will soft reboot, anyone else got is?

In Clockwork Recovery did you mount Data and SD Card? Reboot after that should get you past Dell logo. This has worked for me every time since initially having the problem.

ON a side note, does everyone or anyone still get the FC when attempting to use the Camcorder function in 1.4.1?

There's your problem you shouldn't factory reset or you will be struck at dell logo, it has been mention before.

Can Steve confirm that I can overwrite this 2 files from 1.3 to this new build? :)

There is a whole thread on this, Has to do with mounting Data/SD Card in the Clockwork recovery tool before booting. This seems to get most people past the flashing dell logo.

Flash the amss baseband by fastboot, and do not factory reset...its creates problems. Then reboot in recovery mode, and update the zip file. Thats it it works...

flashed from 1.2 to 1.4.1 , this is the first time i have FCs if i choose the ringtone. And the ringtone will not change. If i open other option in sounds and then open ringtone selection i can change it without fc. but it will not play if the tone is selected. cant test what happens if someone calls me because i only have this phone only.

secont thing is, i thought the wifi quality with 1.2 was bad but with 1.4.1 its also really bad. in 1.6 orginal it was great, how is 2.2 Stock from Dell ?
