i think that froyo samdroidmods more stable than gingerbread one...battery feel much longer and no wakeup lag at all...(ofcourse partial wake is off..100% confirm device in deep sleep mode)..just camera is not working...even i try the new module from here...and with new zImage + samdroid SD card is recognize again...

Really I can agree that I can live without light sensors, because I dont use them at all (not even in WinMo)...I'm satisfied with 2.1, but still miss camera (which is important for me) and hate to use CallLight. So there is no point to using some 2.2 or 2.3 without these things. So I'll wait 2.2 from devs. Hope that 2.2 update will be soon, but no offense at all (just my opinion). :)

By the way anyone tried that froyo? Is it stable? Camera works, no need for Calll Light? SOD?

Amazed how fast this thread grow...does someone remember how it looks like when alpha was released? :)

wow..that tayutama is really fast..faster than samdroidmod..what happening here..I thought galaxy s have different hardware than us..but when I try to apply..its amazing smooth..

thanks ASIDER..I would never know untill u try it first..by the way I'm using 3 partition in mystorage..one for /data one for /system and another partition for rootfs..so I just create 1 ext4 partition in my sdcard for /system directory and map that partition in init.rc..voila..I can test any build without changing my current stable in mystorage...

On Froyo with enabled data, calling, checking mail every 30min it lasts over 24 hours. It's rather good result for phone with android, don't You think? Just check other forums ;-)

lol...that's a great result...most android phones don't last that long with 3g enabled and every 30 mins checking...
