Android on Omnia II - i8000 (18.04.2011)

using default SD card install

1st try: with stu 2d/3d files, couldn't get to boot logo at all, suspend response errors loop

2nd try: overwrite the 2d/3d drivers from xda, same suspend response error

3rd try: install again from scratch, android boot logo for 2 sec, then all white dots freezing, waited for 15 minutes, gave up

4th try: do nothing, just restart haret again, android boot logo for 10sec, then blank screen for 15 minutes, gave up

I have the 3rd and 4th problem before

Just Reformat the SD card, make sure no ext2, ext4, in the SD card

Then Format it into FAT and install with XDA 3D lib

It works very great

i have init problem i have done the manual setup from ubuntu and i have put both of 3d stuff and i have manually tar them and still having init problem and the phone reboot :) please some help

froyo kernel source compile problem

can not compile with this messages

make: /opt/cross/bin/arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc: can not found command

/bin/sh: /opt/cross/bin/arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc: not found

if change makefile content

compile is working

but compiled zImage has problem on boot

jumping to kernel message after all lcd color change to pink, can not see kernel messages

eclair kernel compile is working

only can not working froyo kernel compile

Froyo has the same kernel and modules as Eclair. So do not try to compile 2..32 kernel because it's not ready yet and any of modules will work.

It works very great

5th try: repackage with 3d drivers manually, cleanup beta2 old install files. It works now. No problems with google registration. GSM data works from boot, it starts updating google maps app via data. Thanks..still need more time to test. Very nice. :)

After extracting the file to ext4.tar.gz ext4 partition. Extract o2b3update.tar.gz to get resolved the problem with the sdcard and market.

How to make maket works? I got error all the time. Second after 5 sec of phone call backlight offs and call is hanged. Do you have the same?

Market works for me as well, I find it the performance is a bit slower than beta2. If it doesn't work, press wait and retry.

I'm doing the same like you are doing it. Except i copy everything instead of copy 3 files... i will try to delete the file and see what i can do..

edit: i have the request_suspend_state: wakeup issue now. With new 3D drivers also it shows me that.

I am facing the exact same problem. (init: /init.rc: 280: user option requires a user id)

Did you find a solution.

My market works.

Upon installing I chose to skip the registration. Then I did it form the Settings menu (my Google account is a Google Apps) - market ran but upon trying to download got errors. Linked my Gmail account to YouTube (it worked), but of course it's a different one as there is no YouTube for Google Apps. Market still wouldn't download.

The solution (or what seems like it) - remove the YouTube account, perform a factory reset (which actually did not seem to remove anything), but then market worked.
