I successfully installed this Froyo beta to My Storage:

http://87.229.73.80/froyo_beta1_1024.zip

with

https://rapidshare.com/files/459101930/o2b3update.tar.gz (it is same as the original https://rapidshare.com/files/458827839/o2b3...d-market.tar.gz )

It is hardly faster than iso but the installation a little bit complicated.

Mainly:

1. Install Ubuntu virtual machine to Windows (VMware Player)

2. Reduce My Storage FAT32 partition (using gparted)

3. Create ext4 partition (about 1GB) in My storage. (using gparted)

4. Copy and expand ext4.tar.gz to this new partition

5. Modify startup.txt (or default.txt) at root of Fat32 My Storage and run haret.exe.

Thats all :)

I installed Beta 3 Froyo onto the My Storage of the phone and finally got it all starting up ok. I am having trouble adding a google account for syncing. I am getting the message "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". I have tried connecting via WiFi and 3G. I found an earlier posting with an o2b3update.tar.gz update file that may fix this. I applied it but it hasn't helped. I also saw a posting saying to register with youtube app. I did this and I was finally able to connect to youtube account but I still cant sync to main google account. If I go to settings I see my youtube account listed but it says Sync is Off underneath. Any suggestions on how to sync my main google account?

use your google account when trying to login through youtube app HTH

Yes, the market works well with GPRS/3G. Wifi works, but often switch off.

(It is an international forum, please ask in english. Thanks)

My Froyo installation is running very well. Stable, good battery life, market works fine, Google accounts, etc. Only problem is that I can't connect to my WLAN :) Anybody had this problem? Any fixes? Thx and once again, GREAT JOB DEVS!

@Sgoo,

Did you do the status_bar.xml edit for Froyo?

I Hex-edited the file as per Ashburns instructions and applied through o2b3update.tar.gz but there is no change in the status bar font colour.

Can you share the o2b3update.tar.gz which you used?

TIA

~Firefly

OK!, but I have made only few simple modifications ( that match my settings :) ) :

Framework_res_O2B3__by_sgoo_.zip

live wallpaper patches gave me error, only certain live wallpaper works., can someone confirm with me. even with |3ong91 patch also gave an error,

All live wallpapers I have tried are working well, I don't know ...

Live wallpapers must be installed "ex novo", must have a fresh install.

Hi, I have the same problem and I also checked if it is still updated and it's not. Is there any other work around for this one so I can download apps from Market? Thanks!

i had this problem in my previous android's installation.. it was impossible to connect with the access point. I solved this problem by manually setup the IP, Netmask, DNS 1, DNS 2.. u can find those in settings..
