Android on Omnia II - i8000 (18.04.2011)

While using a different sd card I still get this:

Only cant do this:

then, type this "cd /media/disk"

[ii] then, type this "cd bin"

[iii]then, type this "rm -f su"

[iv] then, type type "ln -s /media/disk/system/xbin/su" ----> (EDITED)

It can't find /bin even though ls /media/disk shows it's there. Could it have something to do with this? Or does anyone have an idea? Otherwise I'm gonna give up, must have spent at least 10-15 hours trying to get it to work :)

The only missing things according to the picture are 2D/3D drivers!!! Put them there where you have haret.exe and you're done

It's not 2d/3d drivers but no ext partition. He didn't follow steps from guide (it's mounting vfat partition instead of ext2/4).

Check haret settings and check if partition exists.

for me this error appeared when i dont put the 2d/3d driver to the haret.exe

It's kernel panic, because init program was not found. For 2d/3d lack there is another error.

I'm with you on this and actually the DEVs are keeping me from spending money that I do not have and I like the phone but hate samsung support. I have faith in the Devs since they reached this point I doubt that they can't do it

You have to use our libsec-ril.so, because it's patched for Omnia 2. Have You copied all neccesary binaries (like efsd, ipctool etc.)? Additionally enable logging to level 8 (on the begining of init.rc) and logging (uncomment dd and adb lines in initr.rc). Read logs - this should hep a lot.

PS. Galaxy S has totally different hardware...

sykim, if You don't understand why You don't have logs I just can't help You. If You don't know where los are, that means, that You didn't read init.rc file. There are lines showing that logs are in the root ("/") and are named logcat.log and kernel.log. In these logs will be written many important things.

PS. I assume that You have linux knowledge and know how it works. If You just unpacked (or even compiled) gingerbread it isn't enough.

Are You using froyo's init.rc? ==> No. I test ginger init.rc. I not found logging lines.

But i used debugger apps and i saved error files.

First of all: do You have enabled rilcorrect service(set property)?

Second: Just add lines with logging to Your init.rc - kernel logs are needed.

Hi Sykim!

Your Froyo is good, but is not corect with power changer. In normal mode without power changer, it show connected power changer. when I connect changer to Omnia2, it show disconnect changer. Fix this, please.
