Ok I found out the problem! This keyboard only works on Sense UI ROM's all other custom ROM with no Sense will not work.

I just spent 40 mins hard resetting and then re setting up my device.

When I installed the attached cabs my phone reset, but then would not turn back on. it would start to boot, but turn off before the splash screen.

I repeat: DO NOT INSTALL THE ABOVE CAB FILES. IT WILL MESS UP YOUR PHONE.

Umm.. did you follow instruction to install the keyboard first before the hotfix?! Those cabs came from ROM threads and at the moment only you got this kind of problem.

Currently using efsaneV3 ROM.

which phone are you using? i8000 or i920? coz most positive feedbacks are from i8000 users. but from sandman's feedback, it actually is working on i920.

Yes, it does work on the i920 and I like it a lot. Wish I could get the vibrations to work tho

I'm using an i8000. However just looking around in my registry just now it appears I only have .net framework 2.0, there is no option to enable 3.5? Could that have something to do with it?

Yep, I just installed this keyboard and it works fine, even when I reboot.

I think the problem is, and I'm no expert with Windows Mobile ROMs or anything like that, the keyboard is unsigned application? So, if you install it into a stock ROM, when you restart the phone, it tries to load it as the default keyboard, but the ROM can't run it because it's unsigned, then the phone crashes and restarts, and repeats forever.

I'm running the MS Team Lite ROM, which allows unsigned applications. Most cooked ROMs have that feature, so this keyboard will work without causing your phone to go into an infinite restarting loop.

BTW thanks for attaching the CABs! I've been looking everywhere for any sort of keypad that has directional pads built-in.... Trying to go back and fix typing mistakes on this phone drove me nuts :rolleyes:

i followed the instructions by installing the keyboard first and then ez input but when I restart, the phone stuck

I spoke too early, I found a very annoying bug with this keyboard and HTC messagaing. When I try to send a text message, the ezinput keyboard will open, but the bottom half will be cut off and off the screen.

To fix this, I have to rotate to landscape, then rotate back to portriat, and then the keyboard displays properly.

This is on MS team ROM. Any solutions?

Also, this version of EzIput is quite old, 2.0 Build 22859, any reason why we aren't using a newer version?
