Guest Pq2son2 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Hi, I write to ask if anyone with this versions have reboots, and sometimes when try to answer a call the system reboots too. Have anyone the same problem? I tried to change the OC to 695 without results. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Guest twrock Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Cheers for your help, I had already wiped everything possible (except system) before trying the market problem, but using the ting gapps zip seems to have solved the problem. I did wipe the system as well though just to make sure so either step could have cured the problem. Is it safe to presume that this ROM has a majority of the necessary tweaks already applied to give best performance? Thanks again, Rob. "I did wipe the system as well...."Just my opinion, but I am convinced that this step would solve a lot of trouble for a lot of people. Edited January 12, 2011 by twrock

It really is strange because I removed any programs that backup anything and restore just before finishing, IF I have time then ill look in and out of the rom
Guest twrock Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 It really is strange because I removed any programs that backup anything and restore just before finishing, IF I have time then ill look in and out of the rom Sorry about that Richard. I didn't mean to imply that you haven't eliminated that as an issue in this rom. I haven't worked with this rom specifically, and I wasn't really paying attention to which thread I was reading. (Too many windows open at the same time.) So I was more commenting with regard to people having problems that really look to me like something is being left in the rom that is causing conflicts or is overfilling /system. Sounds like you've already taken care of it here. Kerbdog's description sure looked like it was related to this issue, but of course I can't be sure. Maybe it's nothing more than some old version (or new version) of an app that is causing problems. There's just way to many things that can go wrong to be sure. :D

At least they are easy to find. :D

Guest karinjo Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Maybe there is no more space on the partition of the sd card?!? before installing cm6 aio v5, I have configured 512MB with sd partition How can I check free space on the partition of the sd card??
Guest Ellia Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 512MB is quite a a lot and it's improbable that the partition is full (if you have not installed a huge amount of apps). You can use the terminal emulator with the command "df" or insert the card in the card reader of your PC.
Guest thisweb Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Kerbdog. - I remember that band! Saw them live once. Really enjoyed it.

Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) I'm using v5, I can make calls without problems. phew for a minute there I thought it was a hardware issue but its working in v5 so ill figure out which app is responsible, most likely phone.apk EDIT: I think I fixed it so uploading b2 btw guys if you dont know or have seen the original post that antonioPT will be helping out with this rom in anyway possible so lets both thank him for helping and also good luck, what I have learnt by now is that this is both a stressful job to satisfy the masses but is also enjoyable and a way to show your skills and learn at the same time Of course others are allowed to join so if you think you can do some good them message me with your dropbox email address and ill invite you to make changes Edited January 12, 2011 by Richard_Arkless

Guest ve100 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Oh and ive updated gapps and the zeam launcher with the latest ones from the market so people dont need to update them, I dont know about launcherpro or adw, ill look if its the latest version tonight i think roms be minimal with bells n whistles, but fully functional for all hardware. anything big and available on the market should be left to the users to install as they prefer. not everyone would want everything, and having more and bigger apps only reduces the efficiency of the base functions. ive also uploaded a barebones version of gapps where it has just got the market and thats it so if you want google mail or youtube you can install it through the market i totally agree with this strategy. google are now independently updating their apps, and each app roadmap has become independant of other apps and android itself. making apps part of the rom, just means more headache for the rom developer, particularly as apps are frequently updated, and the bigger apps not working or suitable for many people. a barebones minimal version of each function required should be part of the rom. of course, what is required becomes debatable when we ask many people. but for the purposes of practicality, we could safely assume only those apps needed to utilise key phone features, and not lag the phone. one suggestion i have about efficient cpu utilisation is a minimal cpu freq/governor. it seems to be working for most cyanogen folks. but i am having issues getting it to work. can anyone try this? http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/12948-n...166#entry118166 Edited January 13, 2011 by ve100
