Guest henny75 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Hi, i have posted my problem some days ago but got now answer, so i will try again, im running aoi rom v4 for some weeks now, and its absolutely fine but i can´t send any sms/mms with the entire application. after sending, there is the message: sending SMS, but after an houre it still says sms being send and its never send. so i have installed a different sms composer and that one works but can´t send mms and is not so comfortable. any idea on fixing the problem?
Guest thisweb Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 The problem with Swapper2 is that it stays in ram and I'm using dta2sd instead of the froyo one, because it is much faster, so I'm using the dartremor swap, too. But Toti's idea sounds really good, so we'll see how the perfromance is. Are you sure DTa2sd swap doesn't use ram? I'm not sure there is any significant difference there. Also I don't get why anyone wants Froyo a2sd as it only has disadvantages to DTa2sd. Speed, installing some widgets, phone space (crucial!) and ease of copying/backing up apps etc are all restricted in froyo a2sd. I really think google fudged this one for the consumer to appease developers with copy protection worries. My advice is to stick with DTA2SD. Its been in development for a long time and very stable/optomised/easy to install. Tho I'm yet to be convinced of DTA2SD swap over swapper2. Swapper2 works really well for me on Toms 0.4 rom.

So fare so good. The nice think is that When I create ext2 VDisk file, it's mount on /sd-ext with no problem. And it can be used as real ext2 partition. :lol: Nice. And what surprise me is that it is really fast. I didn't upload my work in the folder yet. Still working. But there is one very bad thing. You won't be able to mount the sdcard as mass storage device via USB if you move the dalvik cache to sdcard. Because the /dalvik-cache folder will be missing. So I'm not sure if this is some very good solution. About the CPU control. so fare, so good. I just finish that part after noon. I'll upload my works tomorrow. Best regards TOTI Is there a performance loss if I put dalvik on sd? its currently on my phone mem, just wondering what is advantage of putting on SD. Seems to run fine currently ( using swap + jit)

The 710 kernel is a bit too unstable for me though, a reboot too many in one day. Might patch it later by trying the lower clock kernels but have reverted too Tom's rom for now. Too busy with coursework at the moment.

In this rom I resized the lcd density to 140 this means in noob terms it shrinks everything to fit more on the screen, normally apps will still render in full screen and allow its content to be shrunk, while some apps shrink with the content, this is called compatibility mode where if x app is not compatible in that screen size then it wont attempt to resize (you might have seen this with large screen devices), however there is an option to turn off compatibility mode under lcd density changer under settings (I only looked in the paid version, you will have to check if its in the free version as well), now after a reboot all apps will be forced to full screen and problem solved If you change the icd density from 140(the default one of the rom AIO) to 140, x app can also resize to full screen

I personaly pay this apps, but I know that it's not good sharing them. What about the Gapps?! I'm pretty sure that I don't have permissions to share them to. I'll remove them to. I'll even include all of the apps even the Gapps. some HardCore Games. Like NFS SHIFT, THE SIMS3 FULL, and etc. The latest version of root explorer. It'll stay there only 24H. Because I don't have the permissions to share those apps in public. the licence agriment say only for personal use. And this post will be deleted in 24H to. I can guarantee that you will notice how fast the phone will be with my changes. And this is only a minimal part of the tweaks you plan to do on this rom. But first I wonna ask for permissions to upload it from RICHARD. And I'm asking you please do not REPLY on this POST. No realy, DON'T DO IT! Best Regards TOTI My personal opinion is that you should remove the paid apps. The developers are working hard for those few bucks and it's not nice that everybody will be able to get them for free... If someone likes the paid app, it would be nice to pay for it. It's not like they're going for 50 $, it's pocket change...
