Guest Simon O Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Does anybody know and trust the people behind this? I wouldn't want to find out that it's collecting IMEI numbers for illegal uses.

Looks to be legit; unless someone else has any other information.
Guest Arr Too Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 A quick whois shows JIC Electronics Limited (http://www.jictechnology.co.uk/) as the organization behind this service. Looks to be legit; unless someone else has any other information. I think they sell the underlying technology and hardware. This is just one of the "free" (no credits) services provided by quite a few of the "boxes" out there. If you try really hard then you can actually pay their NextGenServer £8 a pop for this unlock code, should you feel that affords you more 'security' and peace of mind.
Guest Arr Too Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Oh, and the link isn't some kind of back door into their calculator. Go to their main page (here) and then click the "FREE UNLOCK CODES" image on the left just below the banner image in the header. Edited November 13, 2010 by Arr Too

Guest Magnets Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) WOT ( Web Of Trust ) marks the site as dangerous Almost every report on there cites http://www.freepcsecurity.co.uk/2010/10/29...tes-october-29/ as the reason they marked it unreliable. It says nothing specific and hardly looks like a reliable source. Reported false positive http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...aded&start= I would imagine a few people found false positives in some files, and it's then been repeated/blogspammed/copied onto some malware blacklists, I don't see this site as any more of a risk than ebay/NCK codes. Guest dizzyjj Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Thanks, worked a treat

And if you look at WOT's report on freepcsecurity.co.uk, then sort the comments, you can see someone thinks it's a well-known WOT spammer!

Guest stylezuk Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=...2Fcalculator%2F  take care... Come on there are millions of computer users and even more sites and even big companies can get flaged for suspicious files and the likes the link gave holds no substance "4" not even 1 for identity... Yes we should be cautious about giving out imei but the paranoia of the internet is far too much cant even cook a rom these days without the av shouting. .. : ( Anyway op thx for heads up. Edited November 14, 2010 by stylezuk

Guest Arr Too Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 No disrespect, but ironically one of the THREE sites that www.nckcodes.co.uk links to is the parent company of the site referred to in this thread, and it's one click to their Next Gen Server page then their "Purchase credits link" and you're there: http://www.jictechnology.co.uk/products/ji...en_server.shtml That suggests to me that NckCodes may well be using their server/technology, generating the codes for free themselves... Also, the companies behind those sites (J.I.C. Electronics Ltd and NextGen Servers Ltd) are UK-based Limited companies with UK contact details (and show up at Companies House). I can't find NckCodes company details, and the only address I could find was on the privacy page (linked in the above post) which is in Jordan.
Guest Arr Too Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Seems this has upset some of the customers of the various boxes out there -- they don't like the people they are buying from also freely providing to the general public the stuff they'd paid for. This thread is interesting: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f643/regar...ocking-1139358/ I found it because Google saw the link that was published in the original post before it was edited to remove it: Google cache So you guys have sold us credits then give free codes to the general public???!!! Free Instant Unlock Codes for Alcatel, Huawei Modems & ZTE Mobile Phones (http://www.nextgenserver.com/calculator/) What use are my credits now?? Edited November 14, 2010 by Arr Too

See how you can accuse us without knowing facts about our company? Just an advise do not try to attack our company because of a free link you found, that is going to be removed soon, so enjoy whilst it lasts. Thanks to you of-course No more comments here, see you soon. Regads Edited November 14, 2010 by NCK CODES
Guest Flumpster Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Are you bragging about how your getting a site removed that gives people of this site free codes? I bet you are making loads of friends.. You was always cheap and seemed safer than this method for most people. I was going to buy off you tomorrow but with this attitude I might as well just use the free one or give my money to one of the 99p people on ebay.
Guest Arr Too Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 More evidence that these specific codes may be being generated for free by various suppliers -- once they've invested in the dongle/box, of course: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f593/01-07...d-free-1037372/

No one is bragging nothing here pal, as you can t read between the lines, nobody has the power to remove no1 s link nor site unless the owner wants to  Hope all clear? @Arr Too regards other solutions offering service (BOXES) try to buy 1 see how much it will cost you to buy and how much credits per purchase after etc.. anyway good luck
Guest Arr Too Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 regards other solutions offering service (BOXES) try to buy 1 see how much it will cost you to buy and how much credits per purchase after etc.. Yes, that's why I used the term "invested". If the link remains open then maybe following suit would work -- offering the codes for those phones for free and attracting users to your site for the other, non-free codes for their other phones.

Now you making sense, but without attacking us. By the way you want to see who is the non trusted company you think we are. http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/member.php?u=94675 that is me in that forums, feel free to private message me any time to make sure. and see what products we offer and solutions we provides. anyway good luck
Guest Arr Too Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 By the way you want to see who is the non trusted company you think we are. I've nothing but praise for your service -- the only thing I mentioned was that I couldn't easily find the normal sort of (UK) company details that would normally help increase trust. From a business point of view, there's nothing stopping any other owner of one of these "boxes" from passing on this service for free (for these phones) in order to attract customers, so it's probably something you'll need to consider.
