yeah you can do that as easily...using the stock browser does the same job in the end

I am assuming (dunno if I am right) but this will be a update.pkg kinda file and I'll do the update in a similar way to the way I put my leaked version on

Heres what i did on froyo v1.2

Disabled data connection, open browser and type in the url

http://mobileupdate.dell.com/?version=GAUSB1A110421

or

http://mobileupdate.dell.com/?version=GAUSB1A110431 for US streaks

it won't go anywhere since there is no data connection and save it as a bookmark

then to check just re-enable data connection and open up the bookmark.

Cause the download and install link is just an image....for now.

i like the nero backup/restore thing. It seems as though they no longer support Dell Pc suite, that was a waste.

the Dell streak is becoming a really Noob-unfriendly phone, theres quite alot of faffing about still after it being out for 2 months or so?.

Would be odd for them to release it on a friday, that would mean they'd have to keep people on hand over the weekend to make sure it goes smoothly. Think we're gonna have to wait till monday..

The update is gonna be region by region starting with the uk, its 2:50 in the morning here so i guess nothings gonna happen till the morning at least. So hopefully it could happen then even tho its the weekend fingers crossed there thinking we'll have time to play with it cos we're not at work :-)
