Guest droidvirgin Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I have the latest r3 lite rom installed and my battery usage by the dialer is extreme, I answered one phone call and the dialer showed its self as used 27% afer a five minute call. The battery drains like crazy for some reason. I have turned off GPS, wifi, bluetooth etc

Guest xzyk Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Thanks for the advice. 'APN Backup' has enabled me to edit the APN settings which is great, but still no internet browser, market and email work fine. Any help greatfully accepted sounds very much like an APN parameter issue to me. If you've got your 3G (or 3G+) symbol in the taskbar then you're on the provider's network and just like your home ISP you get allocated an IP. To see this download the free market 'Android System Info', install and open it. It will open on the 'Dashboard' Tab. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and there you'll see your allocated IP, assuming you're logged onto the network (mine says 10.124.XX.XX). Note this will change if you use wifi and will show your allocated wifi IP from your router. Also make sure, if you have entered more than 1 APN, that you have selected the correct one as your default. Make sure 'Data Connection' is 'checked'. Let me know how you get on. Good luck.

Works fine on 2.1 r4. Maybe is just me but I'm also missing the "Use assisted GPS" option from the Location and security menu and for the life of me I can't find the option to "Disable USB charging" that used to be in USB settings. Apart from this everything seems great.
Guest love9517 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Why Wi-Fi will always be automatically turned off? Wi-Fi hibernation strategy has been revised as follows: do not sleep with
Guest dragon2611 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Why Wi-Fi will always be automatically turned off? Wi-Fi hibernation strategy has been revised as follows: do not sleep with Because when the phone goes to sleep it kills the power to the wi-fi chipset. Hence the wi-fi settings do nothing.

Guest tronads Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I'm really liking this rom, but I have a slight issue on T-Mobile that I am hoping someone will be able to answer. On the 2.1 custom Modaco rom, my cellular connection shows 3g+ , but on this 2.2 rom, I lose the plus sign and just get regular 3g. Im not sure if the connection is any slower, but Im presuming it will be. Anyone know a fix for this ?
Guest Frankish Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 You still get 3g+ just no icon. Go menu settings about and. Status. It says hdspa here.
Guest Levanteri Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) Hmm interesting. My data connection won't work, unless I tick the roaming option "on". Also dialer crashes when trying to call a number, that isn't in the address book. Hmm camera doesn't work at all, I have the 5mp version in my Blade. This rom only has drivers for 3.2mp version? Guest Rasped Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) I received yesterday this from Mister Flibble: "Hi Rasmus, The phones will be sent next week for sure." So let's see if he gets around to sending them :P Edited November 29, 2010 by Rasped
Guest theoscat Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 i found sth interesting, i plugged in the hand free, and when someone called me, and i pressed the handfree button, it hanged up the call for me no matter how many times i tried! weird! did i set something wrong? anyone experienced this before? thanks!
Guest fradleyp Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 can I install R3 over R2 without factory reset? anyone?
Guest jsuln11 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 hi, ive got two of these blades today and on the first one (for my girlfriend) ive installed the custom modaco 2.1 rom, and everything works. For mine, however, i installed this froyo rom, via the clockwork. It says its flashed, i reboot and then the phone never stops rebooting. Just seeing the ZTE logo over and over again. Have i done something wrong? help plz. cheers, j.
Guest biron_w Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 - GPS first use can take a few minutes to find your location. (it will dump you in Yorkshire for some odd reason) This will be handy for me when I get one of these phones :P
Guest jsuln11 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Nevermind, ive resolved the issue with data wiping in clockwork and reinstalling. I have another problem - the android market loads, but it becomes darker and unresponsive. Anyway, google talk works (it was said in the first post, that the problems are related). Some help with that? regards, j.
Guest Davey7 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I don't know why,but my location determination is not working... On r2 it worked, now via mobile network it's not working and through GPS it's misplacing me (onr2 everything was ok). Any solutions?
Guest Nymins Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 This is a great rom. Only problem is the screen freeze, which happened twice today. Really a shame cause this rom has given me the best performance and surprisingly the best battery life as well. Screen freeze is the deal breaker though, can't cope with it when I need to use the phone urgently.
Guest Danne_Swe Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Ok, been trying this ROM for a couple o days now, works quite good. Still some Wifi problems...but now to my real question: If I dont want the ADW Launcher can I just remove it in system/app and replace it with launcherpro.apk?! Cheers! :P
