Seriously there's no reason for abnormally high battery usage unless you have GPS enabled, network location enabled and you have Google Maps open (which has been known to be a battery hog).

If you want to find what is using battery then try what Skywrit3r wrote in this post:

Battery usage is often useless when trying to find out what is draining the battery.

Use Spare parts and check the battery history.

First check "other usage". If "Running" is much higher than "Screen on" the phone is not sleeping.

To find out what app is keeping it awake check "Partial wake usage"

Log into the Facebook application and it will ask if you want to sync contacts.

If you installed without wiping and already had Facebook set up then sign out of Facebook and close the app. Go to Settings > Applications > all apps > facebook. Stop the app if it's running and clear data and cache. Open Facebook again and sign in. It should then ask if you want to sync contacts.

What exactly did you do to use so much batter in a short space of time? I've been testing the ROM for several days and the new kernel for a day and I don't have any battery issues like that.

Used facebook for couple minutes, downloaded and installed some apps, changed some phone settings. 3g was on whole time during usage. On other hand, it charges quite fast.. I might need to re-calibrate battery.

Situation Report:

3 reboots later everything works absolutely fine.

SERIOUSLY smooth (eventually).

Facebook took an age to update.

Battery is absolutely fine so far, and I've been using it heavily for a while now.

Oh and it is QUICK :D

EDIT: Okay about the battery, I must say, looking at the actual percentage, it is draining very quickly. Just lost 5% in about a minute O.o

I installed r6 without a wipe and it seems that from 6 screens went to 5. Am I the only one with this issue? Besides this everything is working fine,no problems at all. Very good ROM. Thanks flibblesan

Hi Dadashi, did you do a backup of apps and phone data before you install FLB RLS6 coming from JJRLS5?

naturaly I did a complete clockwork/nandroid backup before the flashing the new rom, just in case...and I do regular Titanium backups to be able to move apps between rom upgrades

@Flibblesan Thanks for the great ROM. I have some weird issue with FancyWidgetPro. It cannot retrieve weather forecast details. It is working fine on JJ5. Do you think it can be some DNS problem? Also the signal strength is very bad... Could you please have a look at these when you have time. Thanks in advance.

Any 2.2 ROM is likely to have a few minor bugs but personally I use this ROM every day, it's smooth, fast, and I'm in the process of deciding if it's fine on battery life but I'm sure it is. If you want a 2.2 ROM, go for this hands down, so much simpler and smoother than the Jallyfish ROM.

However, if reliability is your biggest concern, maybe stick with a 2.1 Modaco Custom ROM?

Stagefright is broken, the improvements you've seen are likely down to enabling HW acceleration.

So what should be set to get best performance?

HW should be on 1 or 0? And stagefright should be set as player=false if it's broken?

general froyo question, how do I install Adobe flash? I downloaded it but it won't install. Same with firefox, won't install either..

On 2.1 I used FlashLite to view flash in browser, won't install on froyo though....I definitely need flash

I have no idea :D I think it's confused, I got ahead of myself and flashed with like 55% battery, it hasnt had a full charge in ages, and it hasnt been fully drained.... ever so I think it needs calibrating >.<
