It worked fine with me. Though it may be a huge inconvenience, try redownloading it.

Each download is taking half an hour at least. Thanks why I'm trying the mirror.

Zip file and Mirror file seem to be corrupt. Tried downloading several times and ran a test on winrar. Keeps giving CRC error for several files. Can't use it for upgrade due to this problem.

Request for clean file.

Anyone else find that with the built in Touchpal keyboard if you enable predict next word Touchpal will restart it's self?

Unfortunately no.

The reason for this is that the crucial contacts2.db file should belong to the same user:group as the one runs the contacts provider, and it will change case by case.

So the fix requires to initialise contacts first.

It wouldn't be hard to write a small app that does the fix, but I don't know if it is worth it, as the correct solution is to replace the provider (I don't know if it is ContactsProvider or some other one.)

Here is a fixed version that creates the DB with the extra column.

If Fibblesan incorporates it into the rom and specifies a wipe is required then thats as easy as its going to get.

(i just did this and it works fine)

The sql used by getCallerInfo is buried somewhere deep that i can't decompile, and don't have the source for. So this is the best fix i can offer.

The file attached is not a flashable zip, it just contains the fixed apk. You do need to wipe userdata for this to work as the DB is built only once onCreate

The theme files in this ROM dont match the theming guide on the forum. I'm looking for the alleged 'styles.xml' file that contains the menu text colour so I can do a black-menu theme for people to use, but it isn't there. Whats the new equivalent?

Just wish someone caould tell me if USB OTG will work ! Dying to try my cable when it arrives this week...

If you replace /system/app/ContactsProvider.apk with the one I attached, then wipe all userdata , Caller notification will work the next time you sync your contacts.

i.e. the persons name will appear instead of just the number.

Aaaah okay. So really easiest way would probably be to add this into the ROM file and reflash that (given I have to wipe the userdata anyway)?

EDIT: Or, actually, what does wiping the userdata actually clear? Will I have to reinstall everything anyway?

I haven't tried this with r4 or above though. You're welcome to have a go.

He does have a life outside of this forum you know. Give him a day or so off. And look, theres a PILE of more critical bugs in this ROM that he needs to work on before even thinking about things like little battery circles, give the guy a break.

Sorry. Its not possible for me to be on the forum 24/7 and replying to ever question people ask. I would prefer the circle battery mod to be added as an additional framework for people to install if they want to. As others have said the priority is to fix more important bugs than cosmetic changes, but this certainly doesn't stop you or anybody else making a framework with the circle mod.

What about applying the Gingerbread theme from Frankish? That has the circle battery indicator. :D

I dont like quadrant for 2 main reasons:

Reason 1: The 800-1100 scores on the SanFran were due to a bug in Sragefright DOUBLING THE SCORE!

Correct. 90% of the time having stagefright disabled will speed up the phone when playing games for example. The only exception is when a game requires Android 2.2 such as some of the Gameloft games. These fail when stagefright is disabled.

Fixing stagefright is a massive job. New libs will need to be created from the 2.2.1 source which are compatible with the phone hardware. I've already tried replacing libs from other MSM7227 devices and they didn't work.

some posts ago, flibblesan recommend to me the app called widgetsoid from the market, which allows to make a custome power control widget. i did and it's perfect, even better then the original:)

Flib,

great rom, smooth as butter. Only problem is cant install anything from the market. Did a comlete wipe before install, rebooted the phone a number of times, cleared the market cache and re-started. All apps will download, but state 'install unsuccessful' or similar.

Any ideas or suggestions?
