r7 to r7a patch added to the first post.

Changes:

Adds missing languages to system apps

Fixes wpa_supplicant

Fixed GoogleServicesFramework for Google checkin

r6 users and new users need to install r7 first then install the r7a patch

r7 users need to install the r7a patch

Install the patch from recovery. No apps or personal files are removed.

a full r7a rom is being uploaded to replace the r7 rom currently online.

Sound works fine on TVCatchup here. I suspect you've edited the build.prop and enabled stagefright?

No, sorry. I wouldn't even know where to start ;)

Ok in that case open the rom zip and delete libOmxMp3Dec.so and libOmxAacDec.so from system/lib and flash it. This should solve your problem.

if going from r7 to r7a (where r7 gingerbread theme was applied) do we also need to re-apply gingerbread r7a?

thanks for your continued development of this rom...

First of all great ROM, quick and stable which is great ;).

One issue since upgrading from r7 to r7a - The bug which seems to knock the network signal when WiFi is activated has appeared to rear its ugly head again (at least on my phone).

Putting the phone to sleep and back fixes the issue until the WiFi is re-activated.

UPDATE: Tried again and the bug has not appeared, will report if it happens again and see what record of events cause the bug to happen (*fingers crossed* it doesn't happen again).

I get FCs when launching market, also delete cache and data of market, rebooted etc., but nothing helped. I tried R7 and R7a. Anybody else?

Thx,

Market is working on my phone.

Did you wipe user data/factory reset and cache partition in Clockwork before installing the ROM? Not sure if it is required but I always do it just in case for peace of mind, and back up data using Exchange, Google services and 3rd party apps.

Could be worth comparing the MD5 hash to your downloaded ROM's. I have had corrupted files before.

Hope this helps

A factory reset helped. ;)

yes it's advisable to do this if you want the gingerbread theme again.

Do we need to let it fully boot before doing this, or can we apply the update and then the GB pack without rebooting between?

You can install the gingerbread theme after installed r7a ;)

Sorry that happened.

That does not really matter, it's okay! Thanks for your work!

Just a couple of things I forgot. The translations aren't 100% complete but I'll sort this out for r8. Also the contacts all is the modified Cyanogen app with some extra features that may be useful to people. Have fun ;)

Ah - hence the sneaky giffgaff APN app thats appeared ;-)

Oh, and I had to do a factory reset in order to boot (going from R6+fixes). No bigiie, just an irritation (I did a titanium backup and sms backup before hand anyway)

Can hide or show contact pictures. Call log changed to show exact times of calls. Allows support for rotation in the contacts app.
