This is for all those who had the stock liquid 2.1 then rooted it, and want to install 2.2

I have the liquid e from fido. It came with 2.1 and i managed to root it using the malez tool. Then i came across the 2.2 update and all hell broke lose. I tried updating from acer itself. But it wouldnt let me becase i had it rooted. So I came across another entry in this forum

The person who posted said that it would work if i followed the steps. Its mentioned that he has managed to update to 2.2 using some work around. It doesnt work. So now i have a glitchy 2.2 running on my liquid. The power, menu buttons don't work. APN's are locked up and the radio keeps acting up. I have no clue what's going on. All i did was run the update from malez recovery.

So now my question is, how do i clean my phone get stock 2.1 back and may be LCR froyo on it. Malez has been removed by the update i think.
