Guest Invade Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Thank you very much Paul, works great via ROM Manager!
Guest AndyCr15 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Presumably, if we have a working clockwordmod recovery (the test version) then we don't need to put this on?
Guest phunkycow Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) I'm struggling with getting this to work in linux. I just get the message "fastboot-linux: command not found" Try with "fastboot" instead of "fastboot-linux". If it returns the same error, download fastboot from here, make it executable ( @ the console: chmod +x fastboot ), copy the recovery file to the same directory as fastboot and finally: ./fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-ace-modaco-r1.img Edited November 17, 2010 by phunkycow
Guest plopingo Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 What does Paul mean when he say "You will need the ENG HBOOT installed on your device to flash this recovery!" I have another issue with the captcha , i don't understand what I have to say for the good response thanks in advance for your great job

Guest klutsh Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I'm not familiar with the changes needed for it, and I don't have a PS3. So, i'm unlikely to do it. B) P Have you put the vendor tree on github? I make the psfMod editions of clockwork (the ones with psfreedom added) Full source for needed changes is on github.com/klutsh, so feel free to add it to your recovery, I will be posting a full guide very soon of what exactly needs editing.
Guest AndyCr15 Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 when i try to flash clockwork i have this error... C:\Users\Vito>fastboot-windows flash recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-ace-modaco-r1.img I'm not an expert, but aren't you missing a 'recovery' in between 'flash' and the img name? It should be - fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-ace-modaco-r1.img ...I think
Guest SozzaSinnian Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 That is music to my ears Klutsh! Been looking for a guide to do this since I upgraded from my HTC Hero to the HTC Desire Z a few days ago. Great work on psfmod btw B)

Guest klutsh Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 @paul, If you feel like being adventurous you can see what I did to get a PSFreedom enabled recovery image going on a Desire here: http://www.klutsh.com/2010/11/18/howto-build-psfmod/ Best of luck.
Guest Paul Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 The reason the 'adb shell mount /sdcard' etc. mounts aren't working is because the /etc/fstab isn't being generated correctly. Investigating... P
