Guest Master_T Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Yeah, it really works! Updated topic... Cooooooooooool! It should work on MarkII's MIUI, since it's based on the same kernel, right?? Can't test right now unfortunately, hope someone tries it on MIUI and reports...
Guest chiksum Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 it is so nice that the BETA version came out, waiting for the final version! GOOD JOB
Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Wow, vidcap0001.wmv apart from no axis inversion, shows absolutely no glitch when the two points meet! I never thought i would see that on a liquid screen.. Congratulations, keep up the good work

Guest habrahabr Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 so i want to say something Acer liquid metal has a working multitouch, allright? maybe there's a way to grab a metal's drivers?
Guest uapo7 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 so i want to say something Acer liquid metal has a working multitouch, allright? maybe there's a way to grab a metal's drivers? Metal has REAL multitouch screen. So metals drivers doesnt help us. If I am wrong, correct me.

If I am wrong, correct me. i dont understand your expression "real". Our screen is capacitive and can "read" two fingers, what can be more real? its not an emulation of multitouch on resistive screens
Guest bais Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 The MT problem is related to hardware, Liquid's touch panel is like N1's and Desire's, it can be semi fixed by modifying drivers but it can't be fully fixed. Liquid Metal MT though is fully functional since it has a better touch panel.
Guest Master_T Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) Tried on the MIUI... it *kinda* works... it still inverts the first two points where you touch half the time, as usual, but if you move around it settles on the correct ones. However, I wouldn't recommend trying it on the MIUI since it breaks wifi (and maybe other things I didn't notice). Apart from that, great work for a first release, keep it up! Guest noxwell Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 BETA 2 is coming up... See topic
Guest habrahabr Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 what's not working? Wifi isnt critically, what else?
Guest noxwell Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) I haven't noticed something else. You can test, and get back to nandroid backup. Edited January 11, 2011 by noxwell

Guest habrahabr Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Ok, I see...It's working if you're moving your fingers sloooow, so it isnt acceptable for gaming yet [RUS] Слушай, а у тебя на видео, которое в шапке, точки вроде при движении не "слипаются", а у меня на последней версии "слипаются" :D В чем прикол? Guest noxwell Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) habrahabr: it was fake (i don't know, that it was fake, when i post it). New video is not a fake. Новое видео уже нормальное.[/RUS] Edited January 11, 2011 by noxwell

Guest sonique Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Hi, how much touch the screen can detect ? I'm using multitouch tester (http://fr.androlib.com/android.application.com-the511plus-multitouchtester-qqjtj.aspx) on liquid but only 2 touches are detect, no more. I see the axis inversion, your driver looks promising, hope it will be include in futur LCR-F. Regards

Guest habrahabr Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 what program are u using to detect your touches?
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) what program are u using to detect your touches? AppBrain linky Noxwell, is the source code in your first post also updated with newer versions? Edited January 12, 2011 by Delnar_Ersike
Guest sonique Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I'm using multitouch tester. @noxwell I don't know exactly how it's works on android, but, on linux, you can load drivers, by module, or built-in in the kernel. So, can we imagine, you release the module only for de defined kernel (eg 2.6.29), and on rooted devices, load this module at startup (I don't know yet how) ?
