Guest Esquire Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 (edited) Please note only Windows Media Player 10 can rip CD to either MP3 or WMA (Tools > Options > Rip Music). Older WMP versions can only rip to WMA and need additional encoder installed to rip to MP3. If you are using WMP9 you can download this *patch* to add the MP3 encoder that comes with WMP10. I have only tested it on WMP9 so don't know if it would work on WMP8 or earlier. Personally I prefer using CDex and other 3rd party solutions since WMP cannot convert or resample between formats.
