Guest Borkata Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I had same zip flash issue with Malez recovery... You solved the problem?
Guest FreeZar Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Hi Borkata! Nice works, but I want to try to change battery icon in status bar from myself. I have extracted my framework-res and open it with 7zip. I see only 8 battery icon files in the framework-res (stat_sys_battery_XX.png), while in other post I see 101 battery icon files (one for each percentage), do I have to change some xml file?
Guest Borkata Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Yes you have to change xmls and thats why you cannot just extract and pack again. Use Apk Manager 4.8 (there is 4.9, but using it framework cause bootloop) and change files - images and sys_bat... xmls. There is a trick with the tool too that you have to copy over META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml from original and do not sign after repack.
Guest Chewy11 Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) I will try and re-download it and re-flash it Still says zip bad in Malez recovery Edited December 3, 2010 by Chewy11
Guest Borkata Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Let me repack. Will reupload in a while. Edit: Here is repacked and signed again update. Again I have tested with Malez 0.6.1 Flash signed option and it works for me. - http://www.multiupload.com/YSVTEKBDO0 Edited December 3, 2010 by Borkata

Guest Borkata Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 NICE flashed perfect!!! thank you!!! edit caused bootloop from reboot from recovery... nandroid back... Any chance you are with roger update?
Guest Borkata Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 In the link below you can find version 3 with some fixes (actually problems was reported by theme creator and while searching for solution to help I have fixed them): - Changed network name color in Expanded status bar to white - made transparent background for expanded status bar (patched services.jar done by me included in update) WARNING: This update is only for stock BIN version 4.002.14 Froyo. If you try on other version you may see bootloop. If you try flashing over custom rom you may also see bootloop (Note that custom roms are often mixture made by devs, who mix in order to optimize performance and interfering in their setup (system files) may brake OS functionality) I cannot guarantee that this will not harm your device, so before update make nandroid backup from malez recovery!!! I own Acer A1, so I cannot test this on Liquid E. Please report if working. Instructions: 1) Go to recovery -> flash signed (first option) 2) Select .zip from sdcard and flash Link: http://www.multiupload.com/QRRU5RRP5U
Guest Chewy11 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Any chance you are with roger update? no, but it was latest bin with LCR-F on top... ...so as I understand...I should not work... thanks for the support and for your time building toys for our tools!!!
Guest Borkata Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 no, but it was latest bin with LCR-F on top... ...so as I understand...I should not work... thanks for the support and for your time building toys for our tools!!! Problem is that LCR-f is based on older bin and if you flash it on top on latest bin you get only newer radio, but system structure is different. Once malez rebase LCR-F you will be able to use the theme.
Guest Chewy11 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 COOL! Thank you LCR-F 1.2 should be based on latest .bin If we band together and support Malez it might come sooner...rather than later
Guest thomas.chini Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Maybe this is useless for most of you but it's just my 2 cents. I use FroyoMetal 2.5 and I flashed the green breeze theme forgetting it will mess everything and cause bootloop. I just wanted the circle battery icon and I thought that the theme includes it and the the last version would be ok for FroyoMetal ;) . Of course it wasn't and caused bootloop, or rather, the device boots but then when LauncherPro or BreezeUI load it reboots automatically. So I tried to revert back to the previous situation. I don't have a nandroid backup because in v.2.5 of FroyoMetal is not possible yet. So I unpacked the Green Breeze theme package and subtitute the framework-res.apk in the folders "framework" with the one of Borkota for the circle battery icon and all the other files like services.jar and the apks in the folder "app" with the ones from the original rom (just unpacked the rom and get the apk). Then repacked everything and reflashed with no signature and voilà everything works again and I have the circle battery icon as well. I don't know if my method is correct but it works and that's what I care. :P So this should be the zip for FroyoMetal in case you screwed everything. I don't have an account to upload so I just divide it in 2 parts. This is the first part. Extract and zip again in one file.Fix_for_FroyoMetal_and_battery_icon.part1.rar

As I wrote above extract and zip again in one file. Then flash :P Hope it could be useful for other "smart" people like me than screwed the FroyoMetal rom without a nandroid backup ^^ ;)Fix_for_FroyoMetal_and_battery_icon.part2.rar
