Guest Wonsanim Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 No it won't. You need to be on DJ_Steve's 1.3 or you will have start all over by flashing 4399 and go from there. Thanks for the info tavella B)
Guest rockymtnbri Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Great, but this version is very slow. quadrant = 738... 43 fps max neocore = 35 fps. This version can be installed on 2.2 v1.1.1. I edited my build.prop file to change the swhw (?) property from 0 to 1, rebooted by taking the battery out and it seems faster now.
Guest homeiss Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 GOT A LINK I'm downloading it from here: http://mobileupdate.dell.com/PackageProduc...ak_309_0_00.pkg

Guest User Error Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 how do i edit this? Navigate to system/ with root explorer, open build prop with text editor, change 0 to 1, save and exit, reboot. Search this thread for the specific line to edit. Its really easy to do.

Search this thread for the specific line to edit. Its really easy to do. only thing i found was thing: here's my Build.prop in case anyone wants it and has rooted the build.. extract and copy to /system (backup the old one) it helps speed things up a bit if you install busybox, (from the market) then the sysctl.conf goes in /etc/ and is called by adding sysctl -p to /etc/init.streak.post_boot.sh on a new line after the esac if feeling adventurous change the 6000000 value to 3000000 in sysctl.conf and those instructions are very good

Guest UweR Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 STUCK ON DELL LOG TRY THESE STEP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845620 No dice. US Streak, purchased at Best Buy the day they showed up there; no contract, but locked to ATT. Have flashed all 3 files twice now. Used "fastboot -i 0x413c reboot" both times. Have tried Factory Reset both times as well. Still stuck on the Dell logo. It's not an emergency (I just popped my SIM back into my fruity phone), but if anyone out there has any other ideas how to recover it, I'd sure like to hear them. -Uwe-
Guest User Error Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 also wont let me open in text editor or chnaged permission. says its read only. I am Rooted In root explorer make sure you click mount r/w at the top then long click build prop and choose open in text editor. Find: debug.SF.hw=0 and change to =1. Menu>save and exit. Then reboot.

Guest UweR Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 i have the same phone but was on 1.3. did you wait as long as those quotes said? Maybe 5 minutes after the first flash, then I pulled the battery, waited another 5, pulled again, did a Factory reset, waited 10+, nothing, flashed the files again, waited 15, pulled the bat, did a factory reset, waited 15+.. Cannot get past the Dell Logo. -Uwe-

Guest User Error Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 what do you use for benchmarking? Quadrant and linpack.
Guest navy Guy Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Quadrant and linpack. i found it..i only got 844 for a score. reflashing now with the 309 version
Guest bhull521 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I believe this new update will get you the same version that DJ Steve's method gave us. BB - 1A130900 Build 11548 That is what I am running after using DJ Steve's method. Someone on XDA ran the new update and ended up with the same version.

Guest UweR Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 you reflash the files twice? Actually, I just did it a 3rd time, using a different PC.. G:\Android\tools>fastboot -i 0x413c flash boot boot.img sending 'boot' (3184 KB)... OKAY [ 0.297s] writing 'boot'... OKAY [ 1.984s] finished. total time: 2.281s G:\Android\tools>fastboot -i 0x413c flash system system.img sending 'system' (213817 KB)... OKAY [ 20.062s] writing 'system'... OKAY [123.203s] finished. total time: 143.266s G:\Android\tools>fastboot -i 0x413c flash amss amss.mbn sending 'amss' (15748 KB)... OKAY [ 1.484s] writing 'amss'... OKAY [ 9.406s] finished. total time: 10.891s G:\Android\tools>fastboot -i 0x413c reboot rebooting... finished. total time: -0.000s G:\Android\tools> And I'm still stuck on the Dell Logo 15 minutes later. I went from 867 to 1279 on Quadrant. What do these tweaks do exactly? Why didn't DELL implement them if they were so easy to do?
