Guest vache Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Have a look at this. I have managed to root Metal using it (and galaxy S too). I don't know if my source had isntalled some specific drivers for it but it worked (at least in pre-final leak) http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez...mp;can=2&q= Damn, it could saved us some hours xD
Guest CedricGatay Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 So, after salsa, this one is paso, nice codename B)
Guest Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Malez Kaspersky is detecting a virus in your root app ! Exploit.Linux.lotoor.g Never mind it is "normal"... Edited November 23, 2010 by Guest
Guest Dario93 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Hello, I've worked with vache over at acer-android.fr and we managed to root thanks to Z4root. I dumped boot, system and recovery and provided him with the links. Thanks a lot !!! For our beloved devs out there here are the files : http://www.multiupload.com/EHO822W7CI http://www.multiupload.com/TJ86OUQ3F0 Enjoy ! This is a really nice gift! B)
Guest Rajit Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) A little off topic, but IMO Liquid Ferrari still looks the classiest and sexiest amongst the three. B) Edited November 23, 2010 by Rajit

Guest DaveGT Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 Hey, stumbled across this forum on my Google hunt for Liquid metal info. Was wondering what 3G bands does your handset receive? I am looking for a device that can handle 850, 1900 and 2100 so it will work in the UK and USA (AT&T). Also did you receive a microsd with the phone, if so what size? Cheers, Dave
Guest Chewy11 Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 euros are mostly 900 I think Rogers in Canada will release the phone so when that happens there will be an 850 B)
Guest Umka Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Hello everyone. Can somebody please tell what user interface languages are availalbe ? (is Japanese there?) Thanks

I thought that was only for 2G frequencies though? In the UK you need 2100 to get 3G on most carriers. However I believe you can also utilise 900 and 1800MHz. AT&T's utilises 850 and 1900MHz for its 3G network in the USA. 2GB card :s ..... that wont do.....I think I will go for: Transcend 16GB Class 6 Cheers for the info, Dave

Guest Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I just made a bench using Quadrant... it's nice
Guest Dario93 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I just made a bench using Quadrant... it's nice Wow! It's damn fast! :P
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 As I have said in many threads, higher Quadrant scores usually don't equate to better performance in real-world situations, or at least, not by the same amount (ie. having 2x the Quadrant score doesn't mean your device is 2x as fast). Could you post the FPS you get in Neocore (for performance in a Qualcomm 3D engine), NenaMark1 (for performance in a generic 3D engine), and/or Fps2D (for performance in a 2D engine)?
Guest Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) OK, I have neocore 1.9.22 running but it doesn't show any fps... did I miss something ? :P Here is NenaMark... 29.41 fps. Is it good ? Edited November 29, 2010 by Guest
Guest Borkata Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 You can try g2 overclock method.
Guest Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I don't think it needs overclocking. Maybe some optimisation forthe new cpu but that's it.
Guest bais Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Hmmm. I may be wrong but I have the feeling that acer locked the max fps at 30 (just like the htc evo). I believe that with the same processor the g2 has better score in neocore. And notice how the scores in neocore and nenamark are around 30fps.
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 For NenaMark1, considering I get ~17.1 FPS with the latest bin with LCR 1.1.2 on a Liquid A1, 29.41 FPS is very good, though, as with Neocore, Acer probably locked the framerate at 30 FPS, so getting 29.8 FPS with Neocore and 29.41 with NenaMark1 isn't as bad as you think. Note, however, that you get different results with NenaMark1 if you run it in portrait than if you run it in landscape (you get better results in portrait).
