im not saying that he isnt intelligent but it doesnt sound very professional when you read what he put on the rom and realise there are no notes and that the release was a big FU because someone mispelt his name. id be reluctant to try it. im not saying it is bad, but clearly the person who released it was in a poor state of mind when he did so...

Fair comment, that's your choice.

For anyone who does want to try it:- I've got it on my blade now, and it seems like a very very snappy rom. Didn't check for viruses, as I didn't feel it was needed. Only thing I changed was to put Launcher Pro on it.

To be honest, i don't really trust this ROM.. what if it contains a keylogger ?

Lol - why trust any ROM? You're right of course, that any ROM has the potential of having malware in, but. . . we take our chances.

Anyway, give kendon some time to think, he may change his mind. All kinds of posts which question his motives are not helpful here. If you want to try the ROM, go for it. If you are paranoid, make a spam-gmail address just for that. That may be wise with any ROM :)

Anyway, kendon, if you read this, thumbs up. I'd still be interested to know the difference with kallt_kaffe's Hungarian Hedgehog (next to the bundled applications of course) B)

I hope he changes his mind. I use his ROM for daily use and I personally like it the most of all 2.1 ROMs so far (no offense to other ROM devs)

If he looks at some of the dumb, offensive, and accusatory remarks on here, he may well not change his mind.

I am using this rom now, and it is indeed very snappy.

i dont get it? theres always going to be someone who mis-types or doesnt like a ROM. cant please everyone etc etc..

does villadoin mean something bad in a lanugage other than english? maybe theres history.

i seem to recall something similar where a dev had a outrage on XDA due to some disagreement and went off to htcpedia. a month or 2 later when the dust settled he was back posting his roms on XDA again.

fwiw, i'm using the villain rom and it's been pretty sweet. although i'd use any if it ment 2.1 with h/w acceleration, without carrier branding crapware.

To be honest, I was indeed a bit concerned that there could be something wrong in a malicious way with this ROM, because of the no release notes. but when I tought it trough, I found it to be highly unlikely that a dev and admin of a respectable site like VillainRom would do something like that. So I do apologise.

I see some folks over at VillainRom posting that this is just another fine release. From what I understand, it's based upon the Hungarian ROM.

There is a difference though; my old copy of Docstogo doesn't work on BladeVillain (error message with T-mobile Pulse G2??), but does work fine on the Hungarian Hedgehog. For the rest it runs fine, very smoothly.

Great ROM so far, but my camera has gone black and white.

The little program is warez and I only give it as an example B) . Anyway, tried the legal demoversion and that is the one which fails on BladeVillain, but works on Hungarian Hedgehog and other ROMs. Very strange :)

Anyway, it was just to say there is a difference. Don't know what as we don't have release notes.

Reflashed it with the camera.apk from the Hungarian Hedgehog ROM,

everything is colourful again \o/
