Thanks for your findings!

I removed the XT9 Text Input apk myself since it FC's on a lot of languages.

Also, what is fcctest ? Can I remove it safely ?

Also, i think this bootlogo is really ugly. It 'lags' but that's because it's no movie but like 18 seperate .jpg files.

Same here but doesn't seem to have an influence on your phone.

My camera is black & white again, even if I reflash it with the correct .apk file.

Also, I was tweeting, it froze, it showed the ZTE bootscreen animation, and it rebooted.

I don't know if it's the problem of the bV ROM.

The black&white camera is probably due to size of vm heap. It happened to me on Modaco r4, whilst having a high number (48m), then i changed it to 42m and it was colored again.

yeah guys dont take it too seriously just a developer rant.. you think hes bad you should see ninpo on the war path. The insulting gets you no where and as for modaco being the home of SF that is correct just like xda is the home of the hero. However, villain rom is a big part of that development and i can see that being the same here. Team Villain produce excellent roms and im sure as hell they wont be giving up so easy B)

I presume fcctest is a emc emissions compliance tester. ie. shouldn't be in the phone. I've removed it.

Agreed on the boot logo.

Thanks dude, it solved my camera problem too.

"Lower values will make smaller applications run faster, while bigger applications may crash" - says the vm heap tool.

Whatever, angry birds crashes anyway :P

I removed it using TitaniumBackup too, no issues so far.

Has anyone attempted to install the round battery circle indicator yet ? I really would like to get it back but I am not sure if it's compatible with this ROM

Thanks

Hi guys, installed this thismorning, overriding R4, butit won't go past ZTE screen on bootup.

I've reinstalled the zip twice but no joy.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Have you done a full wipe after installing it? I had the same problem, everything was working fine after the wipe...

What do you mean? I reboot the phone and in recovery mode and then the ZTE logo comesup and that's it.

Can Iwipe it in recovery mode?

Only discovered this thru trial & error..you need to format/wipe your sd EXT partition before flashing the ROM..then you should have no problems>>

I've been using v 1.01 for about a week now and it seems to be the best one I've tried so far. It's very fast and the phone runs smooth as silk so I appreciate the effort in producing and distributing it. It would be a shame if development been discontinued over a misunderstanding - it's easy to criticise if something isn't "perfect" but all the developers give up a lot of time in doing this.

Has anyone downloaded/loaded 1.1 - are there any significant changes? I'm at work so won't get a chance until later.

I've tried the 1.1, but the 1.0.1 run much better on my handset.

I tried to delete it as root from a terminal but it says read-only file system. How did you manage?

Root Explorer and mount as r/w.

Removing it doesn't seem to speed up booting time.

Has someone tried to get the round battery indicator back yet ?

Also, a custom bootscreen, anyone tried that too ?

Found this did the trick for me..really useful piece of kit :P

Once you install it then go to /system/media/bootanimation.zip and change/delete the zip>>

Tried it myself. So far, it's a no go. Everything force closes after you apply the CircleBattery, even the launcher forcecloses instantly on boot !!
