Guest Pelemane Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 For those of you that are getting over 500, I'm afraid that you are getting a false impression, it's come to light that stagefright has been more than doubling the score skewing the result. It's a shame I know  but it means that most of the results are not going to mean a thing, and it also means that the phone is not as fast as we first thought. The latest Jellyfish rom has stagefright disabled, that's why the score is so low, until the correct kernel source is available we will not be able to use a non broken stragefright, then we will get the correct result. Mike I got 510 with newest Japanese Jellyfish RLS4 + AHB overclock B) but now im back to Finnish Fillyjonk cause had lockscreen freezes all the time

Guest wbaw Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 just got 1150 @ 710mhz, jap jelly 4, stagefright enabled
Guest cobhc Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I had over 1300 on Jap Jelly 4 with Stagefright enabled.

Mike JapJelly just got the new kernel source in. Can anyone verify whether stagefright is working? Also, can anyone give there quadrant scores with JapJelly overclocked with the new kernel?

Stagefright is separate from the kernel and is broken universally for all devices in 2.2(.0), so it will not work correctly in any of the currently available Froyo roms for the blade.

Kallt_Kaffe has fixed Stagefright in JapJelly so it is working in it.. and I got 594 Quadrant score with new kernel AHB oc + CPU oc @ 768
Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Kallt_Kaffe has fixed Stagefright in JapJelly so it is working in it.. and I got 594 Quadrant score with new kernel AHB oc + CPU oc @ 768 according to kallt_kaffe: no Turned off Stagefright. Stagefright are a new set of media decoders in 2.2 but they are broken in our release which is why it doubles the Quadrant Scores. It doesn't make the phone faster, just the benchmarks and it's just a illusion.
Guest Pelemane Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 according to kallt_kaffe: no But Quadrant scores are right now because Stagefright is off?
Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) yep. 400-600 depending on overclock is realistic. Edited January 7, 2011 by jurrasstoil
Guest MrHicks Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I recall overclocking actually made performance worse for 3D applications in Eclair roms regardless of Quadrant scores. People shouldn't get too focused on these scores as they don't necessarily represent a useful increase in performance.

The updated one that has been around for a while now doesn't reduce 3D performance, as I see a definite increase in 3d performance with overclocking, and performance in general. Edit:- And Kallt also showed screenshots with overclocking of Neocore hitting 47FPS. Edited January 7, 2011 by cobhc

Just using Jellyfish release 7 and cpuset to overclock Got quadrant score of 536 at 711MHZ but then phone crashed and reset Now using 691 MHZ and got score of 489. That sound about right?
Guest Konstantinos Karantias Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 38.1 FPS on Neocore 448 on Quadrant Any idea about improving them? Using the latest fliblesan's ROM.

Now i got 549 points @ 710mhz. done that, thanks. how do i check the speed? I used SetCPU program. You can get it for free at xda-developers forum.
