Guest gcbailey Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 I've tried a couple tweaks such as the startmenu 4 grid and awesome start.cab. When I install them I install the .cab to "my storage". The device reboots, but I can't see any changes. I have the samsung touchwiz UI unchecked if that makes a difference. The only thing I have noticed is with the touchwiz unchecked the start menu on the today screen is unresponsive. Any tips or point me in the right direction please.

Not sure what awesome start cab is, but the menu (winmo menu, I presume) needs to be installed to the device.

Cab files for i920 VZW Omnia That is just a modification of the WinMo 6.5 start menu. You still need to install it to Device to take. Installing it to "My Storage" won't work.
Guest gcbailey Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 OK thanks. Is there a general rule of thumb as to what has to be installed to the device vs. my storage/card?
Guest tedkord Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 OK thanks. Is there a general rule of thumb as to what has to be installed to the device vs. my storage/card? Well, anything that's modifying existing files that are already installed to the device. I'm sure there are other instances, but other folks here know far more about it than I do.
