Just installed 1.4.6 and i've totally lost mobile data. It's all enabled in settings, but i see no icon or anything. Was working fine before upgrade?

Folks...Fards' tweak isn't supposed to work for all.... the fix is on 1st page.

However... this ROM WORKING EVEN BETTER. I hope 1.4.7 comes tomorrow. Enables Streak to fly. :P

Ummmm thats the general o2 PAYG APN, so you can't change them.

Disable the tweaks, page one note one i believe will tell you all you need to know.

Done exactly as stated on page one, created the file in /system/etc in Root Explorer, rebooted, rebooted again, and still no data :P

I still cant get wired tether to work. did anyone else try it? Data connection is screaming fast. Not that it matters, I lost the H icon which I had in 1.4.5.

i was getting the no network error using data, turning airplane mode on then off fixed it for me. shows 3g now instead of just bars

ps here is a link to test data on, plays sweet too!

watch bbc1 live you can watch other bbc channels thru the links on the page. not sure if it works outside the uk tho.

great way to show off the data and flash capabilities tho!

Flashed 1.4.6, was getting market fc's right away, literally before I even opened the market, so I decided to reflash again before trying factory reset, still market fc's, did a factory reset, no market fc's at all, decided to try setcpu again rather than the usual overclock widget, set to performance and max oc to test and this thing is UNICORN FAST!! Playing with it pretty hard, havent found any issues at all so far. No data, wifi, connectivity issues. Nothing at all so far. Nicely done DJ_Steve!!!!!

Well i dont quite know what i did, but data just started working again... Odd, but i gotta admit, i do like this build! I've got the Browser Exit FC bug, and a FC when going to System Updates, but thats all i can notice at the moment.

No problems what so ever with the Market, all working fine there.

So where does one have to be at (minimum starting point) to install this ROM including steps 1 and 2 (flash baseband)? Must be on a certain build first or can I flash from any baseband/OS version?

Sorry for the nOOb question just making sure (and maybe this should be on the first page?)

Search a thread somewhere along the lines of "guide to upgrading and downgrading your dell streak" Should have everything you need to get you here. Unless you have the white dell streak in which case you will want to log onto the irc chat and ask in there. There is a special tool needed to upgrade the white one.

Yeah, I've been in that thread quite a few times and I have all the .img and .pkg and .zip files neatly tucked away in folders; just looking for the shortest way from point A to point B. I think I need to be on O2 2.1 (00 baseband)...

If you're on anything after 1.2, you can flash this straight up.

Anything less than 1.1.1, I suggest you go to 1.1.1 first then flash the new baseband, then flash 1.4.6. (If I were you though, I'd flash new baseband, then 1.2 ROM, then 1.4.6) But that's me... :)h

Your missunderstanding...

I get NO icon. After I add the line and reboot. And when I try to access a website a popup says "no data connection available"

How would that setting affect the data connection?

I found /system/etc/local.prop with former ril. lines that used to be in the build.prop file.

Should the hspa_data_icon line now be in that local.prop file????
