Desire Z fails to rotate screen

I'm having some trouble with a 1 day old Desire Z, running stock firmware.

It sometimes fails to auto rotate the screen. The Mail app always opens in landscape.

Even when held upright, and the keyboard isn't slid out.

Is there some setting that I accidentally set? Or is the gyroscope already broken?

Does this sound familiar?

Ok, it must've been some setting, since after a factory reset, it all works fine.. Strange B)
