Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I'm assuming the other successful viewers are also non-UK. Your assumption is wrong (and I'd have to question your reading skills since you asked that and got direct replies! :P).
Guest bugeyes Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Buneech is watching it in Slovenia. I'm assuming the other successful viewers are also non-UK. There is no "Desktop/Mobile" setting on 2.2 Stock. Got it to work on Xscope 6 by emulating Android 1.6..........
Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Also works on my iPod touch (in the UK!) -- but it's just as poor.
Guest bugeyes Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) wast of time tho sound is a good three minutes out of sync even when you 've just started! having said that the playboy channel works fine! :P Edited November 25, 2010 by bugeyes
Guest Freekers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 For those of you really wanting to watch TV on your Android device, try http://m.tvcatchup.com/ or SPB TV (paid app). Again: Is FilmOn free ? Don't want to end up with an unexpected phone bill... can't find anything about it on their website, just paid plans and pricings.
Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Your assumption is wrong (and I'd have to question your reading skills since you asked that and got direct replies! :P). It was on the previous page! I don't understand what's going on here then. But if like you guys say it's way out of sync then I'm not missing out on much. Stick to dloading/streaming using myplayer. Andy

Andy worth it for playboy channel! you dont need to worry about............er.......... lip-sync............!!!!! lol
Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 But if like you guys say it's way out of sync then I'm not missing out on much. Nah, it's not great -- the sync kills it [except for the pron, probably]. But, as I said before, the HQ output on TVCatchup is just as bad at syncing properly -- and the LQ version is awful to watch. It's obviously using a QuickTime stream on the iPod touch -- what's the Android equivalent? The delay from live suggests they're doing it on the fly, so perhaps the sync will get worse and worse over time... :P

Guest bobby-gg Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) working fine here, just watched ITV weather In the UK on Hungarian Hedgehog rom over 3g on T-Mobile Edited November 26, 2010 by bobby-gg
Guest bigisy Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 To get this to w ork on 2.2 ROMs, you need the X-scope browser and then in the settings, where it says 'android' for User agent, change it to 'android 1.6'. It'll definitely work then.
Guest dwl99 Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Couldn't find this posted anywhere. But if you visit filmon.com on your blade you can watch UK HDTV and films for free though the browser. No need to register. Only works using Wifi but the video is smooth. It appears to be a tenner a month - seems astonishingly expensive.
