Guest Mr E Mann Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Try Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 and Glow Hockey - Both work perfectly and look great on the Vega Hmmm... I don't get the option to download glow hockey from the market... and if I go onto market.android.com it says it is not compatible with the device (the vega) and won't let me install it
Guest Supercharged Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) As my PoV Mobii does not have a dedicated home button, I can't switch apps in a flash. Then I stumbled upon SwipePad beta. With one swipe it brings up a grid of apps you can choose, so you can switch apps wherever you are. Love it. Youtube link: Edited February 14, 2011 by Supercharged
Guest benjer172 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Try PULSE, fantastic news app, very configurable. Enhanced for tablet. Completely agree. A very nice UI and it can pull feeds from your Google Reader account - although I don't think that it has 2 way integration and marks them as read. Keep an eye out for the feedly Android app. I use the Feedly Chrome extension and that does integrate with Google Reader. They posted on the feedly blog last week that they are working hard on a Beta and it is 2-4 weeks away.
Guest rferrett Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 JJ Comics Viewer is a sweet app for viewing comics. In fact i'd go as far as to say that for me it might be the killer app! Seems like this is really what the Vega is for!
Guest matf Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) I've just installed SwipePad which i really rather like - handy for quick navigation to your most popular shortcuts/apps. I had problems getting it to recognise any swipe other than from the bottom corners (but that's actually what I want anyway). Ideal if you like your 'home' screen to be clutter free, but still want quick access to apps which may be a few screens away. http://www.appbrain.com/app/swipepad-beta/...wipepad.android Aha - just spotted that Supercharged was there ahead of me! Apols for re-post! Edited February 21, 2011 by matf
Guest rferrett Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Changed my mind. JJ Comics was good but Droid Comic Viewer (sometimes ACV) is very much the superior app. As a massive fan of comics and graphic novels I really do think this is what the Vega was made for!
Guest harlechguy Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Whistle! Have managed to hook myself up with a copy of the old myplayer! If any one needs a steer please holler! Hey rferrett, would be great to get my hands on the old mplayer - does it still allow saving of files for viewing later - a steer in the right place would be great cheers
Guest rferrett Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Alas Auntie have hobbled it some how. Even with the old APK it doesn't work. I think the new iPlayer app is very nice but blimey why doesn't it allow caching? Not being funny if I am connected by wifi then chances are I am at home and thus will watch it on my computer TV. Surely the *whole* point of wanting mobile iPlayer is so you can watch when oyu are not near wifi or even in signal. On the plus side the main designer bloke was on the wired podcast last week and I think the offline version is very high up their list of priorities.
Guest rferrett Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 But if oyu really want the apk PM me an email address. Though I can confirm in advance it doesnt work!
