no driver, help please

Hi guys,

Got my i8700 yesterday, got it unlocked last night but when i connect it to windows 7 64bit it does not install a driver, it is listed as other device/i8700 and says The drivers for this device are not installed.

any ideas?

yes it installed and have music and videos showing in it.

i found a usb driver for it on a web site and have installed that, it now looks like it is ok under device manager but still nothing in zune software.

I presume you are connecting it with the ubs cable and have you tried activating Zune on your phone while it's connected?

When the phone is seeing Zune and connected trying to load Zune on the phone will show a sync screen saying you must disconnect if you want to use the Zune app.

Once the initial setup has been done and connected to Zune for the first time you can then set up Zune to connect wirelessly to sync with your phone.

Forgot to add have you installed the latest versino of Zune? if not then it will not see your phone.

sorted it, i had it set to usb modem through the diagnostics screen, changed it back to zune sync, doh

Good to hear it's ok, now all you have to do is change your device info in your profile here to show you have a real phone now :P

Hi guys, i need some help with my omnia 7. I got it from a guy here in the middle east brand new and has a t-mobile brand and i think it was unlock here. My problem is that My phone cannot connect to the pc, i cannot access the windows live market and xbox live. Is there a forum that you know would help me with my prob. I like the phone and i want to do more with it.

Xbox Live shoudl beaccessible just create a Live account on the phone, you should have been prompted to do this when you first started the phone unless it was not new? Regarding Market Place I am not sure if it is available in your area at the moment?

When you first plugged in your phone to the PC it should have asked you to install Zune if not you can install Zune from microsoft directly.
