Guest chrisdev Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Wifi seems to disconnect when screen turned off and then reconnect when turned back on Is there a setting to keep wifi connected so that you can receive email notifications ? I agree this is quite annoying, the device completely looses connectivity when sleeping (not able to ping as soon as it sleeps). I just tried installing the free version of KeepWiFi which I've used successfully in the past, but that doesn't help either.

However having Wifi on all the time is going to drain the battery big time ... On my Acer Liquid you go into wifi settings.menu button and choose Advanced .. And there is a Wifi Sleep Policy there ... don't think that option is available though on the Advent. It would be handy for IM and Gmail notifications, but as stated I suspect the battery wouldn't last too long like that
