Guest Wonsanim
Here is a link to a bunch of custom animations for the samsung captivate. Just to get some ideas. I think some of these are pretty creative. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822955 Very Nice :P
Guest superutp
Some very good ones coming in here. Would definately be interested in a one kicking dell logo about.... They will have to be landscape at min due to framebuffer layout. Portrait ones will look weird +1...Totally...
Guest degriz
Going to have a lash at one over the weekend provided my house move goes ok. Going to import the dell logo into lightwave and smash it about with some motion blur and depth of field. Would.still love to know how to add sound. Guest synaptic.flaws
Liked the intro from extrememonkey's boot anim, have repacked it with just the cheeky droid popping up here and there :P Also worth noting that anyone making these boot animations should use OptiPNG to optimize their PNGs prior to zipping them. This usually yields quite a significant size improvement over the original unoptimized pngs. any one tried this yet?

Guest chrisrotolo
dropping a bootsound.mp3 in /system/media/audio/ui creates a bootsound.ogg as well, but nothing plays after reboot. anyone figure out how to replace the Dell startup splash logo?? Guest fards
here it goes still rough draft but tell me what you think, add or subtract. Not struck on the caps or the motorola style text at the start. Hows about using the ubuntu font steve has used in 146? Other than that looks great
Guest fards
you can just unzip it and browse or is there a way i can post and have it animated? I think it's the current one I tested that's scaled to portrait but sits in landscape, so squished white box on black background.
