I did the same thing - access to the kitchen is nice, but I mainly signed up to ad free to say thanks to Paul for the time and effort he puts in here. A tenner is a small price to pay (compare it to what you spend in the pub ;)).

do i have to wipe the cache as well as the factory data/settings when in cwm, to get the rom to flash properly? or just the factory/data stuff and NOT cache?

is this the procedure when changing any rom? wipe everything first, then flash new rom?

i think alpha 3 will be available as a prebake, this was the same for alpha 2 last night it was only a kitchen then i checked earlier today and was there to download as pre-bake, we'll jus hav to wait and see

i just checked setcpuz with alpha3 and the cpu is not droping from 600mhz and the phone started to get hot

So bug wise we have only got the following:

White LEDs on main 3 buttons dont work > Not important

Coarse GPS not working > Not a show stopper but would be nice to fix

No Radio > Not critical but might annoy some users

prebake is the same as baked, its just when paul uploads a rom that doesnt need to be edited in the kitchen or anything like that, paul jus bundles in w.e he thinks is useful.

Chinese V880 is not exactly the same, and they didn't add all the nice Google stuff (they're using Java apps instead) so there's loads of stuff that needs adding (and then fixing). A Froyo release from ZTE with all the Google stuff on it (and working!) may one day appear, and hopefully be easier for us to use.

Right. So it is not exactly same. Why are they bortherd to do two different hardware set? Is that slightly tweeked for some purpose? What could that be? ;)

How do I "a2sd check" with this ROM? I selected a2sd in the kitchen, but the command fails. Exactly what I did was:

- Download "Terminal Emulator" from the market and open it

- Typed "su" and hit enter

- Typed "a2sd check" and hit enter, and got:

a2sd: not found

I think that command only works with Dark Tremors a2sd. I can't do that and i know my a2sd is working as Titanium Backup shows my a2sd partition and the fact apps are on it.

Also i have just used http://circle.glx.nl/ to generate a modified battery with percentage and flashed it perfectly fine and working. I used the framework-res.apk from the original dump to do this and not the one from this rom.

Update went smoothly from last night's alpha2 to alpha3 about 2 hours ago (w/o wipe - livin' on the edge :P).

So far everything is working excellently. Will do some further testing tomorrow.

I'd say it's just ready to step forward (-> beta level) ;)

By the way - NoLed kicks @ss big time!

Any chance someone could have a good think about adding the 'join contacts' button, it just really annoying having multiple contacts with the same name, but different contact method.

I tried replacing the dialler etc... although I could get the button to appear i just couldn't get it to work.

Tried loading an album of Mp3s and it's showing twice in the Music App. ;)

Edit: Album cover shows twice in gallery as well. Pictures taken with camera appears twice in gallery as well.

I just had a wieird thing

I got a txt message while the phone was sleeping (screen off) it beeped but the screen had a red square dancing about on it

pressing the on/off button didn't bring the unlock screen up, I had to press the menu button to get it so I could unlock it
