on R3 now after being on R1 for awhile, not liking the home screen if i'm honest. Is there an easy way to change it and has anyone got any good ones I may not have seen yet?

Well your phone must be different to mine, because Sim Toolkit on my phone gives me options to check my balance and top up, etc.

No, the phone is the same, the SIM is different ;) SIM toolkit shows the SIM apps installed by your mobile operator.

Installed Skype for THREE network in the UK, but on Alpha 1 it does not start - shuts down. Unlocked original version worked. Can anyone comment or give any advice? Thank you!

Yeah I'm running it on Alpha2. I didn't include it with the bake I did as I normally just install it from my sdcard.

It's caused by the /data/media to /sdcard symlink that the rom install script creates. The phone first indexes all media files on the sdcard then indexes the media files on /data/media second. This is causing everything to be listed twice. Remove the symlink and wipe dalvik cache then reboot:

either use adb shell or android terminal as superuser.

rm /data/media

rm -r /data/dalvik-cache

reboot

Since installing alpha3 it will not auto sleep, I have to do it with the power button. Is there a setting I have missed or could it be an app I have loaded?

Do you have NoLED installed. That could be the reason the phone isn't sleeping.

And i have to confirm that BT Headset works great, made some calls with it. And also, Sygic Aura finally works, before it just displayed erratic lines across the screen instead of the map. ;)

Just found out a bug. ADB and USB Mass Storage mount don't work correctly. I tried several times to connect using Mass Storage mode, transferred some files to the SD card, and the files were corrupt. When i used a card reader, every thing was fine.

A similar problem happened when using ADB push to transfer 2 zip files to sd card, ADB said transfer successful, but when in recovery the files weren't there, also when i used a card reader, the files weren't there. Copied using card reader, every thing was fine again.

Using Ubuntu. ADB works fine with Samsung Galaxy Spica, Mass Storage also. I have alpha3 from kitchen and Clockwork Mod 2.5.1.3.

Gallery items are still appearing twice.

If you have removed the symlink and deleted dalvik-cache it should work. You may need to delete the Android folder on your SD Card too and reboot the phone.

make a folder in data called media.

mkdir /data/media

Paul knows about the duplicate media bug and will fix it when r3 is out of kitchen. Same with the camera too.

There was a huge thread on xda about old style a2sd corrupting your sd card. I'm sure there is a fix for the mounts or something to stop it from happening. Ever noticed you can sometimes take a pic and mount to pc and it's not there? It will appear after a reboot. This is the problem!

EDIT:

Oh yeah i just noticed the camera doesn't work now it force closes when taking a pic. Is this a problem of r3 or is it only after your steps it happens flibblesan?

Yes because it is a rom built for another device that we do not have the kernel source for to fix a lot of the problems. (Or Paul in this case!)
