Guest Gerson2k Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) Just found out a bug. ADB and USB Mass Storage mount don't work correctly. I tried several times to connect using Mass Storage mode, transferred some files to the SD card, and the files were corrupt. When i used a card reader, every thing was fine. A similar problem happened when using ADB push to transfer 2 zip files to sd card, ADB said transfer successful, but when in recovery the files weren't there, also when i used a card reader, the files weren't there. Copied using card reader, every thing was fine again. Using Ubuntu. ADB works fine with Samsung Galaxy Spica, Mass Storage also. I have alpha3 from kitchen and Clockwork Mod 2.5.1.3. Hmmm I'm now having problems with my SD card as well, had to use a utility to reformat the card as Windows Explorer couldn't do it - reflashing the phone for good measure. Guest uberduck Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Updated time from china time to GMT. CPU =15% Mem =39% ;) that worked for me as well is it related to network (course) location thingy?
Guest nedian05 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 If you have removed the symlink and deleted dalvik-cache it should work. You may need to delete the Android folder on your SD Card too and reboot the phone. make a folder in data called media. mkdir /data/media Paul knows about the duplicate media bug and will fix it when r3 is out of kitchen. Same with the camera too. Thanks Flibblesan but I gave up and flashed with your ROM and luckily coarse GPS, Market etc all are worked without doing anything.
Guest esiemi Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 nice rom, but really hate the lock screen, i dont mind the look of it, its just laggy when unlocking/changing to silent etc

Guest buneech Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 /system partition is mounted r/w by default. Probably would be best if it was mounted ro.
Guest fradleyp Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) put launcher pro on this get rid of gallery install just pictures install widget locker and this ROM is by far the quickest and most responsive yet Edited December 5, 2010 by fradleyp
Guest Frankish Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 My own personal experience... Removed symlinks for data in update-script - Fixed duplicate music/gallery. Removed gallery3d and installed a version from a desire rom - Cpu no longer has high usage although may be related to first mod. Turned off HWUI - Angry Birds was playing like crap runs great with it off! Deleted ckpd-daemon - It was using high cpu and noticed no ill effects of removal. The rom now runs great, cpu drops right down when idle, gallery doesn't reload every time you open it. If i could fix camera (properly not just replace apk) and coarse location i would be very happy! Oh but i still can't get HTC IME Mod to work :@

Guest Frankish Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Angry Birds is always going to be a bit slow at times on the Blade due to 600mhz only processor. However my experience was that it would be so slow it hurt my feelings! (lol!) I edited build.prop from /system/ with a text editor to turn off the hardware acceleration and pushed the build.prop back. Now i still get slow downs at times but the game is more than playable in fact i'm enjoying it again. After playing it on a Desire overclocked to 1267mhz you really have to live with some little quirks though.
Guest fradleyp Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 for some reason only getting a 2g connection now? looked and its unchecked in options
Guest Frankish Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Come to think of it i haven't hit 3G at all after flashing this rom. I just assumed it's my area as it's crap for T-Mobile. ;)

Guest himbhalay Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Thanks Paul, you have made me a believer on you, MoDaCo and all the good things you roll out:). registered as an adfree member ;)

Froyo's great on the Blade, you can really see the speed improvement vs Orange Stock. A great little gem the SF turned out to be and to think I bought this on an impulse because my old Nokia stopped working.
Guest LouisUK Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Having alot of problems with regards to performance from a baked rom. Running very slowly. Im also getting "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" error ;) I also did a back up through clockwork however my contacts did not restore? Sorry for the n00b questions guys.

Guest Gerson2k Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 air control works fine for my on R3 Strange, it's still not working for me and I've just re-flashed the phone, are there any in-game settings I need to change - I'm running the lite version?
Guest LouisUK Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Delete data and cache before flashing ROM? Third try seems to have worked. Very strange - wiped data and cache each time. First impressions are good. Weather widget crashes if i try to change the City. Rom pretty snappy. Great work Paul ;)
Guest ko0l Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Anyone noticed that the touchscreen isn't as responsive compared to 2.1? Sometimes when you press something the screen just vibrates but it doesn't do anything, you have to press several times before it works. Also I notice a slight lag from when I press soft buttons to the highlight popping up.
Guest LouisUK Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Screen response is great for me. Is there a GPS fix? GPS not locking in the slightest? Thanks

Also I notice a slight lag from when I press soft buttons to the highlight popping up. I think I had the same as you when I first flashed Alpha r3 yesterday, felt a little laggy and sometimes laucher pro would hang - this may have been down to my SD card showing signs of corruption. For some strange reason I neglected to put an ext 2 on it. I've now reformatted and partitioned the card with ext 2 and reflashed the ROM and the phone feels much more responsive and no launcher pro hangs (as yet) and freed up much more storage space! ;)
Guest Olly232 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Do you have NoLED installed. That could be the reason the phone isn't sleeping. That was the problem. Thank you.
