Guest tronads Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Anyone else having a Sim contacts issue with Alpha 3 ? Ive tried to import my sim contacts over from sim to phone, but its saying there are no contacts on my sim. Furthermore, when I try and create a new contact on the sim, the contacts application does a forced closure on me. Not having this issue on Fibb's 2.2 rom, and I have cleared cache + data on install of Pauls.
Guest Frankish Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 What do you mean by Old School A2SD? The type that requires an ext partition on the sdcard.
Guest cobhc Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 The type that requires an ext partition on the sdcard. Yes I am. Should I be removing that partition and just using the built in Froyo A2SD?
Guest cobhc Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 I also had the issue (can only type the name of the person to txt: cannot select multiple people), Use the messaging app from fibblesans froyo rom and everything works as expected Tried that, but still doesn't want to work for me. You did mean to replace the MMS.apk with the one from Flibble's rom right?
Guest Elky69 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Since installing the Alpha 3 prebake, I can't seem to connect the phone to the PC. Did the drivers change between 2.1 and 2.2? I have done some searching and tried the suggested hack of the android_winusb.inf file - but still no joy. This may have been lost in all of the posts since last night. Can anybody answer?
Guest Lew247 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Simply reinstall the drivers, that works in Windows plug your phone in, go to control panel, device manager, you'll see where it doesn't recognise the drivers, simply click the icons and point it to the drivers you already have and reinstall them that worked for me for some reason I had to do that with each new version of the rom

I am using Windows 7 64bit (professional) in case that makes a difference.
Guest Lew247 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 if all else fails you can always install XP Mode for Windows 7 All you have to do once you install is click "attach" the USB ports not perfect but would work. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Guest fradleyp Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 could people install 3g watchdog and see if they are getting excess data being used, I had to go back to 2.1 R4 because of this

Guest Ibcus Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) My screen froze last night for the first time after I unplugged the phone from the charger, strange thing is the battery % in Smart Battery Monitor continued to rise, from 97% to 100% with no charger plugged in. After taking the battery out and restarting it was back to 97%. I'm using 2.2 R3a lite (fibblescans) Edited December 7, 2010 by Ibcus
