Paul: Im very impressed with your progress on this rom! with the corse gps issue fixed, the only thing lacking for this rom to be perfect for me, is a fix for the notoriously unstable/slow to reconnect wifi.

Any chance you will find a solution (updated driver or whatever is needed) for this as well?

Updated alpha4 kitchen to add transparent lockscreen (so your wallpaper is displayed) with redrawn resources.

Text colour is still black at this time.

Same for me. I also checked build.prop in alpha4 bake and it says alpha3.

Doesn't actually matter, it's a quick fix, just for info.

Hello there, I realise in the kitchen for Alpha 4 only Ext 2 compatibility is explicitly mentioned for the A2SD, A2SD+. The frankishfroyo alternate release does have ext3 compatibility. With this in mind can anyone confirm if this release also has ext3 compatibility, but not stated? Thanks!

Coarse location seems to be ok in google maps.

With WLAN on and mobile network (3G) off

TrafficDroid and WF&Clock Widget shows me my location in Bochum 15 km away ??

GPS Status shows no position ?

This is looking great Paul thanks.

I have one issue, not sure if its a bug or my network or handcent.

If I send a text in handcent and my network drops and finds a 2g signal it will not send the message until I turn the phone off and back on again.

Just flashed a fresh A4 and everything is looking good. Still can't select more than one person to send an SMS to at the same time, but otherwise everything else seems fine.

You have to become a member - which has its price. Supporting MoDaCo is a nice thing - definitely worth it ;)

Think of it this way.. If you donate to MoDaCo (Paul) then you get early access to new roms

They will eventually to made available to everyone though, but not always with all the features

Plus if you donate you get the kitchen! ;)

Incidentally, 99% confident the stock lock screen can be merged into this. It's not particularly straightforward, but it's do-able. ;)

True, but older roms had a list come up where you could tick each contact you wanted to add. Sure this worked on Flibblesan's Froyo.

im a newbie here nd have just bought the orange san fransisco(2 days back). i got it from uk and have a doubt if it is amoled or not?

can u help clarify my doubt...

Probably the easiest way is to go into a total dark room & switch on the phone.

If the only thing you see is the Android green man & the rest of the screen is completely black (looks switched off) then i would say is a AMOLED screen.

It theres a lot of back light bleed around the edge of the screen & you can actually see the black around the Green man then its TFT.
