Guest Nyberg Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Is Paul working on a fix for the FM Radio and other bugfixes right now or is this leek left as alpha? Will there be any more development on this rom or is the plan to wait for the v880 final?

Guest treschi Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Where do I download alpha 4 from? Get MoDaCo Ad-free subscription and bake it with the kitchen... Edited December 14, 2010 by treschi
Guest pauliebb Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 i got screen freeze on zte lockscreen when accidently sliding the other way to mute then quickly sliding mute off again. touchscreen stopped working... thats the only time it has happened... just once. so reading other comments here, freeze on incoming call or msg.. could it be a mediaserver issue whereas the mediaserver turns off touch?? just a guess... amazing rom, thanks paul just dont want this idea to be buried by bootscreen discussion. can anyone look into this or say if it isnt/is possible it could be linked?? im ill too... its horrible lol
Guest waldmaster Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 nice work, just baked an alpha4 ROM! question: how do I disable the vibration feedback for the 3 hardware buttons? thx in advance!
Guest Arr Too Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 In the Settings -> Sound & Display -> Haptic Feedback. And then you may need to go the Language & Keyboard and adjust the settings for the specific keyboard you're using.
Guest BCODE Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Hi.. firstly, thanks for the release. Froyo 2.2 has fixed the severe memory issues I was having with 2.1 (I failed to partition my SDHC card correctly so that I could install apps on SDHC instead of internal). The GPS is a lot better too. The battery life has taken a big hit but I'm going to stick with this release so that I install more apps. I need some help with the gallery though. After upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2, the gallery is not picking up my photo albums located at sdcard/DCIM. I can see all the images using Astro but the gallery won't load then. I also can't change my ringtone to the tunes I have in my audio directory. Can someone please advise?
Guest lilzad Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 dont no if this is just me or what but the way wifi keeps dropping my signal keeps dropping and it gets connected automatically, so on top left for signal it has an x next to it with no signal bars. is there a way of fixing this??
Guest FJO Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) I will follow along with Paul's 1st suggestion of removing Quickoffice.apk and see how things go. Had another Lock screen lock up this morning. Phone woke up OK after night on charge, checked twitter then put phone in pocket and took kids to school. When I got back and tried phone it wouldn't respond to finger. But I could see that other things werre working, it had reconnected to house wifi and downloaded tweets and mail. (Using alpha4 from last week) What shall I remove from phone now to narrow down the culprits? Wifi fix? Edited December 14, 2010 by FJO
Guest Deess Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Get MoDaCo Ad-free subscription and bake it with the kitchen... Thanks. I have bought off the subscribtion but as I am new to forum I don't know how to go to kitchen could somebody guide me? Thanks. Is that I would need to wait for subscribtion to activate? I don't see any links in original post yet?? Edited December 14, 2010 by Deess
Guest Bassey Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I have been trying for days to get GPS to work and even left it on for over an hour to completely drain my battery and nothing. Can anyone please assist? Hi exit Strategy. Where did you leave it to get a signal? Have you tried installing Ulysse? It's in the market and will give you an idea of what the GPS chip is doing because it shows you individual satellite streams and the quality of each lock.

Hey there I have installed Ulysse but it just doesn't seem to be picking up any Satellites whether i'm outdoors or indoors whether I try to just use the data connection or with the GPS activated wifi switched on or off. Nothing at all! Not sure what to do now any help would be greatly appreciated!
Guest Deess Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 The kitchen is run entirely through code embedded in the second post in this thread (on page 1) I waited for 20 secs but nothing pops up. Best regards, Deees
Guest jurrasstoil Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Are there any ETAs on a public prebaked alpha 4 and the new R5 you mentioned in some thread?
Guest ezablade Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I waited for 20 secs but nothing pops up. Best regards, Deees Nothing new will pop up, everyone can see the kitchen options, it is the whole of the post! The only difference is that the option to bake, at the bottom of the post, is now enabled. Just click your options, bake it and away you go.
Guest hecatae Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 is there any news on Unicom actually releasing the V880 yet?

I had a non working GPS from day1 on Paul's Alpha 3. Just installed Ulysse from Market and everything is sorted now. Can't believe the fix was so simple.
