I have 3 questions:

1. How can i search only this thread? I can't an option on the thread menu.

2. Since i can't search, i wanted to know if Alpha5 fixed the SIP issue (sound coming from the back speaker and the other caller hear himself twice)?

3. I got Alpha3 and the GPS is also not working, is it fixed in Alpha5?

You can search in just a thread with the 'Search Topic' box near the bottom of the page on the left hand side just above the Similar Topics list.

1. there's a search box at the bottom left of each thread page, with a button that says 'search topic', i'd guess that does it.

2. I don't think so, but if you search the rest of the forum, I think there's a sip client that works, although i'm not sure & haven't tested it.

3. It's coarse location that's broken in alpha 3, gps works, but yes, it's fixed in alpha 4 & 5, you can also fix it in alpha 3 by applying on of the custom themes from this thread - http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...ew-gingerbread/

Fist off thanks for creating the Rom!

New owner of this phone here and followed the guide here http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/ i just wondered that after asking this to install from the sd card and reboot the phone is the screen suppose to show some kid with a paint can and the www.modaco.com? Also it has been stuck on this screen for over ten minutes and i am not sure if it is still installing/applying the changes or if somewhere it has gone pair shaped.

Any advice please?

I am using alpha5 and it is running smooth so far, but I noticed 2 bugs/problems:

- Forwarding an email in standard email app forces closing

- Titanium Backup has some problems (e.g. cannot backup all apps, will stuck in backing up)

Yeah the original ZTE email app is buggy. This replacement app works fine.

I'm living in Germany and I am using alpha5 on my ZTE but I have one problem:

I can't connect my ZTE with my added APN (Provider is EPlus).

Settings:

APN: internet.eplus.de

user: eplus

Passwort: eplus

MCC: 262

MNC: 03

I get some SMS from the number +491770702850 that my credit is not enough but this is not true.

Is there preset an wrong APN? Maybe are this SMS from a wrong provider?

Is there anybody who can help me please?

im running alpha3 but i find the call volume not the ringing volume is too low, with any back ground noise its useless, is there a fix i have everything maxed settings wise

How should i set my account-contacts setting properly?

I see my contacts only when the Locale Contacts options is ticked,and a little phone logo is next to the contact name. If I want to add a new contact I have to choose where do I want to save it (google account,phone,SIM)...If I choose my google acc,it's gonna be in my Other Contacts list(and I don't see it on the phone),and I have to add it to My Contatcs on my PC too see it. On 2.1 I had the little droid head with my contacts,and the sync was good.

It's killing me.... pls help me.

This is due to the lack of flash, as the cpu in the blade doesn't support it.

Just go to APN-Settings and make it look like this:

touchpal not working here on alpha5 as it did not work on alpha4. Swype works.

wifi-issues still need some extra app like wifi-fixer

There are other small things, but its fast. Faster than alpha4. Quadrant gives me 934 while I had only 897 on alpha4.

Dont know if this is related to alpha5 or my provider, but I currently experience problem during calls, when sometimes my call-partner cannot here me anymore and I've to call again.

Hey I had the same problem last night after doing the update from 2.1. rc4 to Alpha 5. I wiped the handset before and after then install but it didn't work. kept getting stuck at the Modaco screen.

Anyway I realised I had an old clockworkmod installed so I update it to 2.5.1.8. Reflashed with Alpha 5 and it's now working.

Was wondering...

Is it possible to enlarge the partition (a2sd) on SD card? As when looking in Titanium Backup it says it is only 217mb with only 84mb free and I'm thinking that over time this will fill up?

trying to flash alpha 5 (was running alpha 4)

and it stays on the boot screen, ive tried twice now.

what am i doing wrong?

i did a nandroid backup before hand

and ive wiped user data.

but still it stays at the modaco bootup screen :unsure:
