loudspeaker blown.. replacements?

hey everyone, the loudspeaker on my i8000 omnia 2 seems to have blown on me out of nowhere. it sounds distorted and lower volume than what it was, tried flashing/hard reset with no luck, so my last option is replacing the actual speaker.

does anyone know where i can get a replacement from? or know what speaker from another phone model will work? i've tried ebay & internet searching without any luck (even the samsung replacement parts site with a part number yields nothing).

any help is appreciated!

ps. everything bad i've read about this phone before i bought it has happened in the last 3 months of using it lol. my storage disappeared and can't get it back, dust under the screen even though i don't keep it in my pocket, and now the blown speaker. i've been using this phone since august...

btw that is small matter...no need to blame on samsung...just sent to service centre and claim your warranty... :D

there is 7 month more warranty period right?..so nothing to worry..

unless you are buying ebay set/2nd hand set then sorry to say i need to blame you.. :D

yeah i'm pretty much on my own with this. bought it new from a canadian seller (i'm in the us) on ebay, so there's no chance of having warranty coverage. the good thing is i'm very handy and have fixed a few other random phones before, so this shouldn't be a problem. i just need a replacement speaker, or one that will fit/work, maybe from a nokia or something. if anyone knows what other speakers will work please share! :P

maybe all the problems are more common on the 16gb models..

I've got the same problem, the speaker volume is low put I can increase it with the *#0002*28346# volume gains menu......

what rom did you have when the problem happened...
