I used to own the Desire and performance wise the San Fran is pretty damn good i agree. I do agree that a lot of "roms" don't include a lot of change. I just did some minor fixes but i knew Paul would get around to it eventually!

To be honest i might not even update this again now Pauls releasing his with fixes. If you want a2sd on Pauls release he has enabled scripts to be run from init.d so you can take the a2sd scripts from /system/etc/init.d in this rom and just place it in the same directory in Pauls rom. It will work as long as you have an ext partition.

I hope you will, the addition of a2sd 'out of the box' is massively beneficial to me and lots of other people wary of further tinkering (especially since the first time

Well Paul has included it in his alpha2 rom. Kitchen is up now but for those of use with no ad free we will be able to get a prebake later tonight.

bit of a stupid question, but can I drop this rom on my sd card and install via clockwork?

Can I ask how you added a2sd on a 2.2 rom?

I tried using the method posted on villianrom (installed pauls alpha2 and then tried flashing a2sd via clockworkmod)...this stopped the phone from booting (stuck on green android screen for a long time)..

It's simple on Alpha2. Support for init.d scripts.

In the folder /system/init.d/ just place the file with a2sd code. Find the script attached. It just works.

Did you mean /system/etc/init.d/? because I couldn't find /system/init.d/...

There's 3 files in the folder...do I only copy '40a2sd' into the same folder of the alpha2 rom?
