Guest markII Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Hey guys, I need a low battery drain but I also need wireless tethering...can i switch on tethering only when i need it in order to save battery? The only thing that comes in my mind is: do a nandroid backup and then apply the tether patch when you need it, when you have finished to use it restore nandroid backup. Another way is to create another zip that changes from boot.img with tether to that one within tether

Guest Master_T Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 For all people annoyed that they can't use SD via USB since it doesn't ask you to connect when you plug the usb cable, I found out that this app fixes the problem: http://www.androlib.com/android.applicatio...mount-wnEw.aspx

Guest Dario93 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Yes me too.. bug for Liquid E users? It's a problem of phh's kernel. This kernel can't map all the memory in Liquid E :/ Edited January 5, 2011 by Dario93

Guest Dario93 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 oh means that for all using phh kernel's rom will facing this problem?erm...include metalfroyo? Yes,all the ROMs with phh kernel have this issue. Don't worry,MetalFroyo has a kernel written by me and joos, basically stock kernel with some differences,so all the memory is mapped

To try to solve your problem,i need a dump from your Liquid E Ferrari.. :/ Follow these steps: -Flash a froyo bin (with working wifi) -Install malez recovery -Make a nandroid -Mount SD as mass storage -In your SD you should find a folder named "nandroid",open all the subfolders -Take the files named system.img & boot.img, zip them together and upload them So I will try to understand the differences between Liquid E and Ferrari's wifi drivers  Ah,on your ferrari, can you flash also Liquid E bins? (such as 4.002.14)? Mark, sorry for my HUGE OT Edited January 5, 2011 by Dario93

Guest SmithyBeatz Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 hey, my screen doesnt switch of when i do a call. i know, no sensors. but in 12.24 i had no sensors too and it worked.
Guest sciacca Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I made it ahead of schedule!! This is same fix i add in gingerbread rom.. so i think there are no problems. A2sd - Drarktremor Scripts for Miui Install only on top MIUI, (after langpack, and Tether fix). DO A NANDROID BEFORE START Download update.zip and flash from malez recovery. Enable A2sd: adb shell a2sd check[/codebox] if you get this result: [codebox]Apps [ ] Linked to SD Card. [ ] No Apps2SD Flag File not found. [*] Programs run from SD card To run from internal storage, type a2sd remove Your apps are stored in sdcard if you have another result: adb shell a2sd reinstall[/codebox] For more infos about this scripts look at Darktremor Scripts Pages If you have problems let me know. Hi thepasto, i've installed a2sd fix. It works ok. Can i use it also for new release of MIUI?
Guest fischschneehase Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 hey, my screen doesnt switch of when i do a call. i know, no sensors. but in 12.24 i had no sensors too and it worked. obwiously you have to set the screen of intervall lower;)
Guest thepasto Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Hi thepasto, i've installed a2sd fix. It works ok. Can i use it also for new release of MIUI? as long as this remains the boot, there are no problems, can be used it. If something changes in MarckII boot.img need to update init.rc
Guest SmithyBeatz Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 obwiously you have to set the screen of intervall lower;) :-) no I don't want to wait 30 sec till I can hold the phone to my ear when I do a call. I mean this "proximity"sensor thing. I know that can't work without sensors.but why did it worked in .24 version with no working sensors.
Guest gnufabio Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 MIUI 1.1.7 was released this morning. Waiting for Liquid Porting  @MarkII: Can you fix sensors in this version?
