CyanogenMod 0.40 flashable performance zip

just tried it but it feels no faster, infact still feels far slower than 2.1 flb did

I did a clean reinstall of CM6.1beta0.40 this morning and did not flash this add-on yet. But I have tweaked a few things, and CM feels quite fast.

(Disclaimer: I don't do gaming, so the stuff that speeds up the graphics doesn't seem to do anything for me. And, I not only did a full wipe, but I formatted /system to make sure everything was cleaned out.)

With a 256 mb ext2 partition for apps and a 32mb swap file on a class 6 SD card and with DTApps2SD installed, here are my current settings:

  • a2sd cachesd (for Dalvik cache to SD)
  • VM heap size 24mb (in CM settings)
  • Use JIT enabled (in CM settings)
  • Compcache RAM Usage disabled (in CM settings)
  • 691 mhz kernel installed and set to auto-throttle up to 614 and down to 245 with SetCPU (I could go higher, but I prefer some battery savings; and I haven't yet started in on profiles, which I plan to do)
  • Naturally the built-in "allow application moving" to SD is disabled in CM settings (because I'm using DT instead)
  • a2sd lowmem-moderate (still experimenting, but it feels good right now)
  • a2sd swappy15 (this one I definitely will be experimenting with more; 60 seemed to be creating lag so I pushed it way down, but I need to work with it more to find the optimum balance)
  • Lock home in memory (CM settings)

Hmm, I think that's it for performance tweaks. As always, YMMV, but that feels fast to me.

Since if have installed the performance pack on my sisters pulse, its crashing und rebooting the whole time. Even without OC. Ive tried to get the memory clean by reflsahing the UK 2.1 Update and flashing cyanogen .40 again, but its still rebooting.

Please help :(

Where do i get the a2sd file? i didnt found it anywhere, while everyone uses it. Second question: Can i just copy the OpenGL Driver files? Because flashing the whole package makes my pulse crashing the whole time.

Flashed on top of my previously installed CM, however SetCPU still says that my max CPU frequency is 528? Did the flash fail ?

Edited: Nevermind, forgot I had to manually set a profile to go to the full 710mhz :(
