Guest paranoiadk Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Hi guys! Here's the thing, I found a Swype cab lying around a forum (version 3.9.10.10.5032). When installed it shows only EnglishUS even though it has other languages in the cab (I checked with WinCE Cab Manager). I tried simply inserting the Slovenian zdb.le file (from an android version, it seems the lang files are the same) into the cab, but to no effect. I then tried inserting a languages.lst file - I thought it might be missing, hence no language list, but again to no effect. I then resorted to simply renaming and replacing the SwypeEnglishUS.zdb.le file with the Slovenian one in it's place, but swype would then turn all black with only the finger-following line visible and no words being entered. Swype shows no langugages in the options menu, in the menu that pops up when Q is long-pressed only EnglishUS is listed. I have an OmniaII with WM6.5.3, btw. Help would be much appreciated. PDK P.S.: My guess is i'd have to edit something to get to the language list. That, or is it just the version that's problematic. Anyway, help, or a nudge (a link if you will:) in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Guest y17dt Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 There is a newer(an much better) version of Swype lying around in the Internet v3.19.xx should be newest. Try that one it has less bugs and better performance. Up to now there is no information, how to enable language list with different choices. You have to rename your Slovenian zdb.le to SwypeEnglisUS.zdb.le! Thats the way, the cabs with the different languages in them, were created. Tell me, if it worked with Android Languagefiles! Regards

Regards Hi I am not sure if this works this way. I have tried to rename Slovak zdb.le file (not Slovenian!). Unfortunatelly dictionary stays stil US English... But after few days of useing it and adding new words to US Swype, I can easily write in Slovak... ;)
Guest paranoiadk Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 You don't have to tell me that it's not the same! We get confused with you all the time too! ;)) It seems swype will only recognize SwypeEnglishUS.zdb.le regardless of what language it contains. If I renamed Italian to EnglishUS it worked, swype even recognized it as IT not EN. But not with Slovenian. It seems the zdb.le files are not the same on android, hence the screen turning black. Since Galaxy S is the only phone I know of that had swype in Slovenian, I think the only way is to actually start adding my own words to the dictionary. It's a hassle but I really don't see any other choice. Although I read that this could be done more efficiently. Thru the use of MyMobiler, where you connect your phone homescreen to your pc desktop and you can cut and paste directly. So if I were to have Slovenian words in a txt file I could just paste them in by the dozen and swype would memorize them... I guess I'll try that. I'll still keep searching for a WM version of Slovenian.zdb.le... Might work from another android version... If I make any progress I'll post. Thanks so far, guys!
Guest paranoiadk Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Update: Inserting zdb.le from a Symbian SIS file gives an error message, and the whole keyboard turns black like with zdb.le from Android APK. They say that Slovenian is on the way. Likewise a buyable Swype, but I kinda doubt that....
Guest GunnarKarlsson Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 They say that Slovenian is on the way. Likewise a buyable Swype, but I kinda doubt that.... I'd buy it directly if it came with Swedish dictionary. //Gunnar
