Guest Catalin Desire Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 WTF is facebook? It's the favorite app for pedophiles and serial killers. That's why is so popular.

Guest Mushhushshu Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Yeah cause I'm a kiddy-fidling murderer ;) Heh careful, living in the UK means you could get 20 years to life for posting that on a forum, just look at the guy on twitter who joked about blowing up an airport :P If you actually were a kiddy-fidling murderer then the sentence wouldnt be so great :P
Guest EddyOS Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Very true!! To clarify, I'm not the above, live happily with my gf and hate violence
Guest DragosP Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) Nice try! TOO LATE! ;) Edited December 8, 2010 by DragosP
Guest Madeli Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 No, it really isn't. It looks HORRID. Why can't Google add some style to Android?? They're going to have to if they do what they say they will with 3.0 and not allow 3rd party launchers Totally agree! This new UI is really bad ;)
Guest kingqueen Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 The key question for me is whether or not it will include support for setting proxies e.g. SOCKS. I still find it incredible that Android doesn't do this on Wifi, as lots of corporate and academic Wifi networks still require that setting.

Guest Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Open media formats and AAC encoding. Plus improvements to the Dalvik machine. Finally. That will be worth upgrading for. Think: no more sh!tty narrow band audio interleaved together with bloody HIGH DEFINITION 720p VIDEO. Never a more stark contrast in quality. Bloody hell, the homo-gaypient Symbian OS could manage better a few years ago. At least Android keeps getting better and better. Performance performance performance. Rather than getting slower slower slower with newer builds. +1 for Gingerbread.
Guest poldie Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 It's not about that. Let me explain it this way. We are disappointed because Google said that Gingerbread will probably eliminate the need and option to use other launchers (that includes: Sense, Launcher Pro, Adw Launcher,...). So yeah you don't need Sense but you are using another launcher not the one that comes with stock android. And the one that comes stock is by my opinion ugly. they could at least implement a nice digital clock widget. So yeah 2.3 looks and feels just like 2.2 so no major visible changes. I hope that it's at least faster- Sounds faster/better to me, with a big improvement for games: http://www.badlogicgames.com/wordpress/?p=1315
Guest bpivk Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Sounds faster/better to me, with a big improvement for games: http://www.badlogicgames.com/wordpress/?p=1315 The gaming part is if the developers implement it if end users own a phone with Android 2.3 and we all well know that that won't happen at least if you don't want to use a custom rom. And we'll be able to talk about the speed when we actually get a Gingerbread rom to compare it to stock android rom. As I've said we'll see if 2.3 is all that and a bag of chips. I am disappointed because they bragged about the new UI as well as other changes. I guess that we'll have to wait for Honeycomb or Irish cream (the only desert I could think of that started with an I). :) Edited December 12, 2010 by bpivk
