I'm new to shell and busybox commands, so I don't know what was wrong but when I tried 'cp' I got 'cp : not found'.

Do you know if there's a custom recovery compatible with Liquid Metal yet ?

I think there was a problem with your busybox. I had to download busybox installer from the market and then run the installer afterwards too. 'cp' is one of those unix cmds that comes in busybox.

Downloaded the version from Xaueious's link here. Installed using Malez. Works great. I'm new to typing on touchscreens. I've been using stock froyo keyboard, with swype. I've also tried htc ime and a couple others. So far, I think this keyboard might have them all beat.

I have to agree with split. I dunno why but I type really fast and make almost no mistakes with this keyboard, it's even better than HTC IME, truly awesome.

I've installed the latest gingerbread keyboard from xda (v2) on my liquid (see signature for rom version), multitouch doesn't work, autocorrection works but only in english even if I select other languages (it's always in english).

What I got, systemwide is the new selection capabilities with all keyboards. I can double tap on a word to select it, and that's great, even with htc_ime.

The keyboard is from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=863576

I've found this for other languages, I still have to try it... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864036

For all the Italian users, here it is a GingerBread keyboard with Italian dictionary and autocorrection: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DT6830T6

:)

On xda they said that copy and paste doesn't work with the gingerbread keyboard with italian dictionary. Can you confirm this?

(try to select a word double tapping on it..)

thanks

update: copy and paste works, but it's not 100% stable, sometimes it made me crash handcent when I did the tests. Autocompletion in italian works ok. great!

There is a new installable apk for gingerbread keyboard on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875202 . I've installed and tested it, and is by far the best gingerbread keyboard I installed:

- installable as and apk, so no root required

- multilanguage

- word correction is fixed (you can change a word already written)

Vibration feedback doesn't work for me. It seems a permission issue, maybe someone knows how to fix it...

To enable multitouch feature you changing the device multitouch permissions enables it (mutitouch distinct see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880447). Multitouch on liquid is still mostly broken by hardware/touch driver...

I know it's possible, at least it was for me about a week ago... I think it was in this thread on sweedroid, problem is that I could only seem to get it working once... http://www.swedroid.se/forum/showthread.php?t=27825

I would like to have èùòàì characters on my gingerbread keyboard... but I don't know if there is a way to change keyboard layouts.. maybe you should ask in the xda thread I linked.. the one who packaged the apk has full sources and had studied them ...

That worked for me. I can see öäå in keyboard and use them. But there is just one huge problem: i am finnish and i dont understant swedish very well. If i set my phone locale to finland, keyboard is just normal english qwerty. If i want to use öäå keyboard, i have to set my locale to sweden. And then all menus etc are swedish and i cant understant it. So can somebody modifield it, that öäå works with finnish locale? Or you dinmamma can speak swedish, can you ask to somebody modifield it in swedroid?
