after my original screen protection foil peeled off, i purchased some over internet. after i spent almost an hour trying to place it on my screen, i got mad and threw them all (it was a 3-pack) in garbage. ;) :P either it goes askew, or gets dusty, then there are air bubbles... it really drove me crazy.

so i want to know; do i really need screen protector for my phone?

if i carry it in my pocket it's always in a leather pouch, so that shouldn't be the problem.

how about stylus? could it damage the screen?

I would recommend you BRANDO screen protector. The fist protector I used was pretty much like yours, I had to prepare for an hour just to start putting it, and it ended with bubbles, dirt and fingerprints, wouldn't slide properly and was very thick. I pealed it off the next day. In the meantime I ordered brando protector (it took them a month to ship it but it was worth every hour of waiting). It took me full 10 seconds to install the protector. There was no bubbles because it works on static electricity (no sticky matter of any kind), it's thin and clear, and slides like on a display without protector. It's on my phone for almost a year now and still sticks like on a day 1. I just don't care about scratches any more, I carry it in my pocket without pouch (I hate that thing). I oredered "ultra clear version", there are also mirror and anti-glare versions (didn't try those).
