Got my official protector. Went on fine with only a few bubbles. Then pulled tab 2 which pulled the whole thing off. Couldnt get it back down then without a shed load of bubbles. Think I might have to take this back and get a replacement. Not willing to risk water damaging my Vega with the soapy water solution.

Also any reviews of cheaper - e.g. fleabay - screen protectors would be welcome..took a chance on a Tesco one which was supposedly for an IPAD but it didnt fit....looked more likely to be for a Samsung Galaxy.

So I think reviews by people would be really good.

I must of been really lucky with mine. I ordered mine as a bundle on the Dixons webiste and was a little shocked to find you only got one! which meant really being careful, not one of my best features, but i setup up Vega leaving the packaging on and then fitted new protector straight away after that before using it at all.

Everything went just right and it fitted first time with out any dust or bubbles and mine come with hole for webcam already cut out so i just used that to line everything up and fitted using a credit card to make sure no bubbles were left after fitting.

Although the matt finish does take away some of that shinny bling factor the original screen gave when i saw it instore.

Jason.

Hi all, a wee tip to keeping dust from your saver or screen. Do the fitting in the kitchen with a pan of water boiling. I never have issues with dust, just placement lol.

If you're after a cover, you should check out the Android keyboard/Covers on Ebay. They are made for the Flytouch2 10" tablets, so they should fit the Vega tablet. Some of them come with a free screen protector.

Well after having great succes fitting my protector i have now removed it.

I found the matt finish greatly reduced the effective viewing angle of vega and that it made reading lots of text hard as i found the screen to look a little fuzzy with it fitted.

Now with vega back to its naked form i find the screen a lot better to use in all respects.

Just got to make sure i take extra care with it or find a non matt protector.

Jason.

has anyone tried one of these cases with the keyboard for the Vega??

There is a dedicated post about this somewhere, seems to work quite well for some people, but some need to use a hub in between to make it work. I bought one but the muppets sent me the 7" version in error, but i did try it and got the reported repeating key problem. Sent it back to get the correct size and off to poundland to get me a hub. Fingers crossed as i quite like the idea of this case. Another thing i found is that if i took the usb out it needed a reboot to get it working again. Hope my first post was helpful.

Has anyone tried the Vikuiti screen protector? Vikuiti ADQC27

I'm looking for better ambient light usage, not for protection (reduced glare in sunshine)
